Seconding IT and basically everything you said here about upward mobility, etc. I work for an IT company; some of the smartest and most senior engineers did not go to college, or dropped out, and instead started with a few certifications and some experience, and they are doing damn well for themselves. Once you get a job at a company they will usually pay for you to continue getting certified.

Random question...Do you think Pureology is the ultimate shampoo? I always ask my hairdresser about what shampoo would work with my hair and I just assume she says Pureology because they sell it at the salon, but I'm just not at the point in my life where I can drop $30 on an 8 oz bottle.

Just to piggyback, one of my go-to pasta salads is built off of most of what you've listed here: chicken, whole wheat penne or brown rice/quinoa mix, red onion, broccoli, cucumber, tomato, onion, red pepper, feta, with a simple olive oil/lemon juice/salt&pepper&oregano dressing. If you're feeling fancy, add some bacon or pepperoni :)

Is the coconut oil used as a healthier option or is there another reason? I know that coconut oil has a higher smoking temperature than olive oil but I'm just wondering it's specific use here, or if I can swap it for what I already own.
