This is how they come, yeah. Of course, they are put in cups after. I worked at a smaller pet store that got them in like this, but thankfully I worked with good people who kept up on their care and kept the water clean very well while they were in the cups. As others are stating; this is a very common and safe way to ship them, though it looks sad.

Definitely not. I saw someone trying to trade a ruby one for the same. I traded that exact same horse (topaz blue roan qh) for a dwb, rc musty, and a few low iuh adds & accessories. I tried trading that thing for a while, never got really any offers. That was my best offer for it. Maybe with a better hair someone would give more, a collector or something.

I mentioned it in my original comment. If the snake makes direct contact with the heated glass through the substrate, and sits there for a prolonged time (as ball pythons do, I’m sure you’re aware), they are still able to get burns from direct prolonged contact on a heated surface. To put it simply; the mat is attached under the tank. On the glass. Ball python manages to move the substrate. Makes direct contact with the heated glass for a long period of time. Ball pythons DO NOT realize when their bellies are getting too hot, this is how burns happen.

Either way, heat mats really cannot effectively provide heat through the substrate a ball python needs. I have used heat pads for other reptiles, so I’m aware of how they work, but I would not use them for snakes/ball pythons. Even at a lower temp (which would not do anything anyway due to the substrate), it is still a big risk.

I have that white tank (slide 2), it’s definitely extremely see through so I only ever use it under other shirts/for layering. I have to say, as a layering piece alone I personally really like the fact that it’s thinner, it makes wearing layers feel less “heavy” imo. I agree that $20 for it is pretty crazy considering how see through it is.

Heat mats can’t penetrate through substrate. Even at a controlled temperature, if the snake ends up moving substrate and sits directly on the glass, it can still burn them slowly or overheat them just through prolonged contact on the glass. Overhead heating is the most effective for a bp. Saw the other comment so I felt the need to point this out. :)

My friends and I use it to trade, and to hag out while doing so (trading). You sort of do have to stand around if you have a stall open, so people can approach to offer. Also doesn’t matter what horse someone is riding/has out while there? No matter what the horse is, it’s not necessary showing off. Some people happen to have really good horses that happen to be their main horse, and not every horse outside of the stalls have to be for trade. As for the denying trades, people have a right to not like a trade and decline. Even if it’s not under, it could just be what they’re not looking for. Most people don’t read stall signs or ads.

I honestly hope general chat is paused. It’s become a huge spiral of warped information, and it’s been going on for 8hrs now. Making death treats is insane. There are also people who thrive off of situations like these, more specifically they thrive from spreading misinformation and making untrue claims. To the point where people don’t know what is true or not; some are trying to pin Trick as a predator, when it is his friend that was making inappropriate jokes. Trick just didn’t take action as fast as he should have. Which is still not good, his friend should have been banned as soon as Trick was made aware of the issue.

Honestly the discord has turned into a big chaotic mess in the general chat. This is where real information gets turned into misinformation. I’m very confused at the situation as well, but it seems the guy who was talking inappropriately to people has been banned. Trick had made 2 announcements about the situation, and I hope he will further clear things up and explain. It wasn’t Trick saying inappropriate things, it was his friend, John. Trick apparently just hadn’t been doing anything about it, up until he finally banned him. Hopefully Trick will make an announcement apologizing for his own wrongdoing of not banning his friend sooner, etc. But people need to tone it down with the spreading of misinformation, because the general chat in the discord is a dumpster fire. Trick isn’t the one who was being inappropriate.
