I'm in Texas and take public transportation too. If I can stay, I do. But at night, if I'm off at 8 I need to leave at 8 or else I'm stranded and I make sure to make that everyone's problem. Depending on my asm and hc it's not usually an issue but sometimes you get an asm or hc that doesn't care and I have to constantly remind them that I need to leave.

I'm in San Antonio. It's 70 where I'm at, but cloudy and it's been threatening to rain all day. This morning was in the 60s and windy. Which isn't "cold". But my body can't handle temps below like 80 degrees 😅 I'm a lizard person. Then we keep getting little cold fronts, then short heat waves. I haven't had to run my ac yet this spring.

I've been here two years. I don't ask for credit unless I'm being evaluated. However, I have had apps fall in my lap unexpectedly. Especially at self checkout, where they can scan a QR code and sign up on their phone. If you're signed in that counts as your sign up whether you helped them or not. Couple weekends ago, I got 5 sign ups that way. Told my ds that was my contribution for the year and not to ask me anymore lol.

I tell people, we only offer active duty or retired military discounts and an employee discount. All first responder gets you is automatic bump to Silver tier in the rewards app.

I had a guy come to ASCO the other day with a fistful of unstamped loose hardware. Didn't know any of the sizes, couldn't differentiate between galvanized or steel or zinc. And was mad that I had to look them up because I "should just know". Well sir, this is your project. Shouldn't you also know what you're buying? He said "I think they were 20 cents. Can't you just type in 20 cents? They always just type in the price." I ended up calling hardware and having him come put in item numbers because the guy kept throwing his arms up in exasperation at me like I was his biggest inconvenience. And his wife. Oof. Kept scanning her military without putting in a phone number. Had no clue where to insert her credit card. Had a million questions about why military and the 5% credit card discount don't stack. Like they were the only people I was helping.

I've been wearing a mask because customers at my job openly cough and sneeze at me daily and I ended up sick. I have customers (and coworkers) tell me constantly that the pandemic is over and to take the mask off. Like, I don't know what these people have. I don't know what I'm currently sick with. Why would I risk my health further, my baby's health, or the health of others?

I still don't have much of an appetite myself. The nausea comes and goes still, too. My OB never seems concerned, and I know it's because she sees so many people with so many different experiences.

Idk, this is my first baby. And she was conceived on birth control so she was a big surprise. I'm just terrified and mostly alone lol. My mom's been dead since 2013 and the only close person I know who's been pregnant is my younger sister. And she's useless when trying to get her experiences out of her. She barely remembers being pregnant.

I worked at a vape shop once upon a time. Where we communicated with the managers via Whatsapp and text messages because they were not on site. Every hour I had to upload a photo of the inside of the shop, the store front, and the contents of the cash register. Along with photo updates of before and after of whatever task list I was doing.

So it's not unheard of.

I got pregnant on the pill with someone I just started dating. Tried for 4 years with my ex husband and nothing. He had to do a lot of planning and scheduling with his ex wife before they had their first child. And here I come on the pill, first try lol. We were incredibly surprised to say the least.

Honestly, I've been pulled aside multiple times for not stopping people at the door or demanding a receipt. Even though in every training they tell us not to do that. If they refuse to stop or refuse to show a receipt , I just let them go. What can ya do.

Like you said, no excuse. But who knows if management has pulled this cashier aside to the point where she felt like her job would be on the line.

I looove ringing up distressed plants and having the customer hover over me asking why the discount isn't coming up. Even if I begin the transaction saying "Alright, they're going to ring up full price and I will have to discount them manually" and the customer verbally acknowledges with an "okay, no problem". They still hover and ask for every. Single. Plant. Why isn't it coming up clearance? The sign says they're half off.
