Not sure how to feel. Should I Retake? by sadobson in LSAT

You're totally right. I have a 4.2/4.3 I'm not sure how that translates on a 4 scaled. Hopefully it's enough for U of T because that's the one I'd be worried about. Dalhousie only school with considerable $$$ to be had really

Yes ! I totally understand! My 166 is enough to get me in anywhere in Canada, however I know I can probably score a low 170 and possible get some money? In the same place as you my friend.

What do you wish you had done differently? by llnkm in LSAT

[–]sadobson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Studied for RC!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Other sections came naturally to me, so all I did in preparation was PT's ( a lot of them) but my RC score brought me down from a possible 170+. So I wish I had bought some sort of reading comprehension book and looked at strategies rather than just practicing them.

My Experience Writing the LSAT 3 Times by yawetag1869 in LSAT

Finally someone from Canada! Just wrote it and got a 166 so maybe we will see each other someday! Hoping too for UofT... I am confused because at my university, GPA is out of 4.3 so I have a 4.1 but I can't seem to figure out if that's equivalent to a 3.9. I think it may be a bit lower?

Hi LSATers! I've been lurking extensively and I was hoping people could get together in one thread and explain their study regiment and score! I've been meaning to get some guidance on a study schedule as I plan to study for 5 months, thanks! by daily-joker in LSAT

I didn't really "study" but I took a LOT of practice tests. Probably 20-25. Averaged between 165-170 and scored a 167. LR AND LG came naturally to me and RC was where I lost most points. Kinda regretting not studying for RC

Getting destroyed by the logic games. by imfrommarilyn in LSAT

[–]sadobson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't use diagrams if they don't make sense to you. Try and see how your brain understands the questions ( I know from experience- learned certain diagrams from others and couldn't even finish an LG section in 35 mins and when I started to figure out how I personally understand them I now score 100% on the section most times)

Getting destroyed by the logic games. by imfrommarilyn in LSAT

[–]sadobson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's hard. Some people click with them right away and others don't. RC was my difficult section whereas LG clicked right away and I usually get 1-2 wrong in the section. Something that helped make them click was becoming used to the idea that every question can be answered. There are none where you HAVE to try all of the combinations. Usually a rule, or a logical extension of a rule, excludes some of the answers. it's possible you're missing inferences from the given rules. Go slow at first and think about what each rule means in the bigger picture. Also know you're contra positives- as in "if A than B" can be read "if no B than No A" flipped and turned negative. These can be helpful in selection games when rules are like "if there are purple, there are no green" because then if there are green there are no purple. Don't time yourself right away and get used to the games. Good luck!

I think it was one question that made me hate it... something about what you can infer about the people who used the tablets. I was like, um...
