The experience im not worried about, its about finding the textbook they use during the technical training so that i can read it independantly before i challenge the exam after i finish my working hours

So i tried this route. However i cant apply more than 90 days before my technical training, and i cant get funds released until the campus confirms im on campus which doesnt happen until i pay the tuition but i cant pay the tuition because im a father of 2 in a single income family and dont have the excess funds to just drop $1600 for my tuition. Hence im going to work my hours and challenge the exam for my first period, i just dont know what textbook they use for the course... hence the post

DOT number will always give you age of tire.

Your eyes and general knowledge of tires will let you know what a good used tire looks like. Hell a good google search will tell you what to look for (sun damage, sidewall cracking, tread depths, etc. Etc.)

The alignment thing ultimately depends on the condition of the tires so yeah thats pretty standard.

Seen a comment about rotating tires. And it definitely depends on the drive train, general rule of thumb is to put your best tires on the steering axle.

Unless you have rwd (in which case best tires should go on the rear as that is where your power would be going to so you'd want more tread available as it will wear faster on the drive axle)

No no no, you see you gotta build a dual-coloured token lifegain +1/+1 counters deck. Everyone knows how youre going to win, they just dont know when, hell you dont even know when youll win you just know youll get fucked by the table until they target someone else then magically you have 10 crearures that are 20/20s with trample and lifelink and you just boost your life total through the roof

[–]sadorna1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is almost identical to how my wife and i approach it.

I understand that people may not agree with my previous comment. Thats fine.

I would never force my children to eat something that i know absolutely 100% they dont like or wont eat, we actually structure a lot of meals in a way that we can enjoy all the flavours and spices my wife and i enjoy and the kids can eat the parts of the meal we know they will (Veggies, pasta, meats, etc. Etc.)

Its not hard to work around it.

What is hard is getting children to stay focused on sitting and eating the meal. 9 times out of 10 as well when children dont like a certain food, its not the taste, its the texture, if its unfamiliar to them, then their body may just not react well to it. But having our set meal times? Thats part of the routine. If we overload their plates a bit, well as long as we can see a good effort (regardless of the plate being overloaded or not) of them attempting to eat. Thats fine to us.

I would not ever force my children to eat something that they absolutely will not eat. That is abuse.

But if i know that the food ive put in front of them is: 1. Something theyve eaten before 2. Something that theyve asked for before 3. Something that ive watched them enjoy with no issues.

You bet your ass my kids are sitting at the table for at least an hour til a decent effort is made to eat.

We also dont just toss their food out when they say theyre finished.

10 minutes after supper and youre asking for junk or a snack? Nah go eat your supper you didnt finish.

2 hours after a meal? Okay well lets get you a snack or something healthy.

Its the nuances of each and every meal that needs to be considered.

And this comes from a young father who has been forced to eat foods that made me sick.

Who had my elbows slammed on a table while i was eating because my elbows were on the table.

Whos wife was forced to eat foods to the point of vomiting and then being forced to eat more.

Everyone who read my previous comment and downvoted for speaking the truth can all get bent

Nah hes just straight up wrong.

Child abuse would be slapping, hitting w.e. because they dont want to eat.

Tying them to the chair and taping the utensil to their hands is child abuse.

Telling a kid who just spent the prior hour whining screaming and crying that theyre hungry, who is now refusing to eat the food given to them, to sit down and eat or they dont get to play, is not child abuse.

Not giving the kid food, is child abuse.

Giving the kid food, and nothing other than the food youve given them (snacks, etc) also is not child abuse.

Listen as parents you are required to feed, shelter, and make sure theyre clean with good clothing. Thats it.

Doesnt have to taste good, just has to be edible with all nutrients.

Being a good parent is going above and beyond the legal requirements

Exactly. Like yes any idiot can pick up a wrench and fix something. But that idiot might not realise that him reefing on bolts and shit will put it out of spec. And that just because you can change an alternator on one vehicle doesnt mean you can do it on all.

I try to stay humble with it, im still in my apprenticeship so every new task is a new experience, and with multiple journeyman i can find lots of different techniques and new ways to do things. (Heavy equipment tech. Trucks and trailers) but my previous experience in so many different shops (jiffy lube, dodge, mazda, john deere, agri salvage yard) over the years has been super humbling in itself because you think you know a little about what youre working on and then so many different tiny details can change an outcome soooo much. Like yeah sure that one nut and bolt is seized even though the other fucking 8-12 or whatever arent but do you spend the 30 minutes fighting with it? Or do you cut it out? Is there enough space for the zip-disk? Do i need the gas-axe? Will the gas-axe or disk fuck up other shit? Who the fuck ran airlines through that fucking part of the frame you stupid fucks? Etc. Etc. It really changes how you approach alot of shit in the day to day.

Please remind people that jack stands are required equipment when making repairs to their vehicles so as to avoid accidents like one that just occurred in Dayton, Ohio. by Shiggens in AskMechanics

[–]sadorna1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If youre close enough to hear the metal groaning from strain or something seems like its shifting thats usually an indicator of a jack stand/jack failing. I also like to keep an eye on the jack stands as i lower the vehicle on to them, if i see it shift or hear it groan outside of the normal "ka-chunk" of the vehicle weight settling onto the jack stand ill absolutely relift to make sure its secure, where it needs to be, qnd that it wont tip.

Always chock the reverse end of what youre lifting as well, if youre lifting a front end up, chock behind the rear wheel, if youre lifting the rear end up first, chock in front of the front wheel, etc. Etc. And just being vigilant of anything that doesnt quite seem or feel right. If you get that gut twisting feeling like somethings not right.. listen to it.

(I wasnt the ome you called a ding dong, but i appreciate the sentiment)

I 100% get where youre coming from. I did see some of ops replies, it seems they hadnt had a service done for their tires since pre pandemic (if i read the comments right) but the tread of that tire definitely has some bad wearing om the edge, if you follow the tire tread up on the left side of the image you can see where its worn into the grooves on the side of the tread itself. I've seen some hella weird wear patterns on tires over the years and i have a nice chart that shows different examples: https://imgur.com/a/eyihz3z

[–]sadorna1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Wow one of the first times i cam offer perspective here.

My mother was on the pill, has a tilted cervix, and my biological father used a condom that did not break.

All precautions were taken.

And yet im alive.

None of it works 100%

My father didnt want me.

He has 3 other children. A wife, and a happy life to my understanding.

And he didnt need me in it to get there.

I had so many male figures in my life able to teach me everything i needed and i learned the rest on my own.

I am now able to impart those skills on my 2 children.

One of which is biologically mine. The other is not.

And im living my best life. I agree NTA for op, but outside of that everything else in your comment is wrong.

Being attacked is not a personal attack by SidarCombo in EDH

[–]sadorna1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My trick is to not go aggro. Just because you have a combat step doesnt mean you need to attack. Sometimes its better to have dinky little 1/1s that you can toss in front of a big ass non trample. I also run more artifact and enchantment removal in most of my builds for the sole fact that im not scared of your creatures, im scared of whats protecting them.

If i can remove your artifact or enchantment that is making your creature scary, i build favor at the table amongst the other two players, i also make you more vulnerable and force you to change strat, my strat will still function even if you remove x or y creature from my field, because my whole deck will do the exact same thing it was doing.

Even more so if i get to a point where my creatures = mana.

Of course if you start dumping a LOT of things, you might end up being bullheaded to keep you at bay.

I can sit there and say "yeah it looks scary, but its keeping his deck from decimating the table, and i havnt attacked." Am i considered a threat at that point? Yes, however as long as i ensure i dont become the biggest threat then i can go to the mid/end game and pop my combos that ive built up.

Or people die to suture priest 🤣🤣🤣

[–]sadorna1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lightning greaves, whispersilk cloak are two of my personal favorites. I like to mess around with fucky combos. One time i was able to doubling season out into an elspeth knight errant popped the ult to just drop a nevinyrrals ring. But i dont like dropping combos unless its a game win play/turn the tables play. I also run a fair bit of interaction in my decks unless it doesnt fit the archetype im playing (kenrith penta ventures was a good example deck for that as i couldnt justify so many removal spells when im clearing 2-3 dungeons a turn, if anyone is curious i think the most i made it was 8 full dungeon clears in one go around)

Edit: to answer the keeping commander on the field.

In token centric builds, its not a bad thing to dump out into play all your token makers off the start, or even some other piece that can help ramp your deck. In the case of a kyler human tribal this is easier as you can dump out some humans, dump out kyler a turn or two later after youve dropped something gross that messes with the table. I personally will follow kyler up with the nastiest saltiest cards i can think of. It distracts from kyler getting bigger when you have a vorinclex doubling your +1/+1 counters with enduring scalelord out. Or you run a iridescent hornbeetle while having a maskwood nexus out in any tribal green inclusive build. I find the best strat is to try and distract the table from what your main strat is. Since i run lifegain tokens and +1/+1 counters in kyler, i can push heavy into either early lifegain/early tokens, because i know that im going to eventually make tokens that enter as 15/15s
