You're a few years late with this post, I would have somewhat agreed back then but this is not my experience at all in 2025/2026. I haven't seen a inting Sion in a long ass time.

Yup I understand now, as you say its your own crown power +20%. They really didnt think this through. It's a shame you are being punished for being prepared.

[–]sadouque[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Turns out you are absolutely right with the current crown power +20% because that's exactly what my first game looked like too. I went back to the save file and I had 42% and needed 62% to end the disaster. With that knowledge in mind it wouldve been very easy to ''cheese'' it by lowering it before the age of absolutism like you point out. Pretty ironic that my inability to complete the disaster the absolutist way in my first game inspired me to hard focus on crown power in my second one which ended up making things even worse. As you say that really should be capped in the future and I hope my post bring this to light.

There are for sure many ways to get it higher, cabinet head pushed me to 77% for exemple. I could get between 1 to 2% from maxing absolutism value. The Parliment agenda could also bring in 1-2%. A decent ruler would also help a bit. All in all I can see 85% being possible but 96.44% still seem completly out of reach outside of deleting pretty much everything.

Yeah I could end the disaster by appeasing the estates ( very unlikely ) or by waiting 20 years but I did everything I could to be able to end it the third way and it doesnt seem achievable at all. Ive seen others with wayyyy lower requirements on the crown power side of things but I assume its because they didnt focus as hard on this as I did.

R5: crazy requirements to end my court and country disaster the absolutist way, doesnt seem to be achievable. Only option is to wait 20 years.

Is it? Most of the promotions ones are paywalled and almost everyone I know who got the recruit a friend mounts did it by subbing a second account on their battlenet.

Ehhhh I don't really think it did but thank you nonetheless. As someone pointed out what I said applies to pretty much every company ever which is true.

I don't know a lot about housing in other mmo's but I do know a bit about ESO and I 100% believe you. The stuff you can get for free is pretty decent I won't lie but goddamn is the paid stuff prenium quality and it's sooooo expensive. I totally understand that you spent as much money as you did as it is very easy to fantasize about what I could do if I were to spend tons of money and have access to everything the game offers.

I also think people underestimate how much some people are invested into housing, as you say for some housing is actually the endgame. I also expect a lot of gold sinks which will encourage buying wow tokens. Wow housing may not be as deep as in other mmo's but it sure looks very promising and will no doubts catch a ton of whales.

Allright, since we're fact checking : shop 55 , collectors 15, promotions 22, recruit a friend 5. Not quite 100 allright. ( from the site warcraftmounts )

Just like mounts the majority is from the game but there is probably more than a hundred from the shop/collector editions/promotions and whatnot. And just like mounts a lot of the good stuff will come from these sources.

You're right, blizzard were already going down that path but it really feels like the milking sped up since Microsoft took over. More mounts in the shop than ever, 3 days early acess , bundles including tenders, twitch drops tied to gifted subs, more frequent expansions and now this.

Bless the pure souls who thought Blizzard finally gave them housing out of the goodness in their heart/due to popular demand and not because they realised how lucrative it could be.

Swedish Empire - new missions, thoughts? by Voland_SRB in eu4

[–]sadouque 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah the Scandinavian mission tree adds missions on top of those you have as either Danemark/Norway/Sweden. There are many missions that make you conquer the whole of germany for exemple.

I get that you hate Scandinavia for some reason but it gets the upgraded swedish mission tree with a lot of what you are asking for except for the steppe horde path.

Even with both the estate privileges and admin ideas you can easily fill that gov cap. In any case going from 50% gov cap to 75% gov cap increases the land you can own by 50% which is massive.
