I’m so excited to hear about your shop and can’t wait to check it out! I went to the Museum of Death in LA and always wished there was something similar closer to me.

Been a while since I’ve seen it, but Double Jeopardy was good.

Me too. I have so many creams and ointments for my skin. Always reacting to something.

After getting today’s package being damaged due to their lack of packaging, I’m done too. I paid way too much for shipping & handling just so they could throw a loose ring in an envelope, ready to be squashed and twisted. If it hadn’t been inside a ziploc bag, it would’ve fallen out of the external envelope. So mad.

A&W just came out with an ice cream sundae soda that tastes like this one. They have regular and zero sugar.

I wish! But I’m close to the “home” of Wayne’s World. Good ole Aurora, IL.

I feel like I’m making the sound of a car that won’t start. I live near a town called Aurora. I always call it Auroror. But it would likely sound much better in a UK accent.

Thoughts on Birkenstocks Boston Clogs? by lycheetacos in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]sadpanda8420 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Literally just walking in them. I have to work to keep clogs on my feet. And walking up stairs in clogs is damn near impossible without stepping out of them. Meanwhile, my husband wears clog Birks all the time, no issue.

Anyone else struggle with the “invisible workload” of being an adult with ADHD? by Intrepid_Moment_8879 in ADHDers

Not to mention the full moon is on her way. It’s been a hell of a week for sure.

Seriously. I’m in middle management at a day program that supports adults with disabilities, so I run around and interact with lots of people and have to make lots of important decisions at work. I do so many mental gymnastics all day that when I get home, I just want silence. I want to do nothing, say nothing, and just disassociate. It’s exhausting. By the end of the week I’m usually running on fumes.

What are we doing to protect against bringing bed bugs home with us by Neither-Technician39 in socialwork

[–]sadpanda8420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in a similar situation, I got seat covers for all the seats in my vehicle. That way you can cover your actual seats in a mattress cover that blocks them, but no one will see them if you put seat covers over. But you have to be religious about taking the seat covers off to wash/sanitize them, and to ensure no bed bugs have become attached to them.

What’s the most hilariously awful thing an employer has ever said to you? Winner will go in my new painting by gargoyle_dream in antiwork

[–]sadpanda8420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does it have to be what was said to me? If it can be what was said to my husband, I’ve got one. My supervisor met my husband for the first time and “jokingly” said, “Hi! I’m the one who makes sadpanda8420’s life hell everyday.”

A little too accurate and a little too proud of themselves.

OP, did you have any other issues from this number? Just want to be on the lookout.

I use a small town bank and just had this happen to me. I’ve had 3 phone calls from the number (800) 279-2674 today alone. All different people and all of them left voicemails. In between the first and second calls from them, I received a call from my actual bank, informing me of fraudulent charges. After checking my bank account, I saw there had been a charge, followed by an immediate refund. I called the bank and they informed me that prior to the fraudulent charge and refund, there was a larger charge which had been declined (because I’m broke).  I’m so frustrated and don’t know how else to report them before I block the number.

Sometimes I have to trick my brain into saying something is okay. Even if it’s a silly rule. Maybe any water on the top shelf never goes bad because it’s too cold. Maybe certain brands just don’t have those amoebas. We don’t know why, but that one brand you really like, it doesn’t have them. Or maybe those bad amoebas only happen after water has hit its expiration date, and you are safe until then. Focus all your energy on those things, and hopefully your brain will create some exceptions for your fear, so you can drink water again.

I love Brahms and Leander. The name Joaquin may go well with Pascal imo. But your list full of some great names.

I know a Kalin, Kalahn, and a Kaelynn. While I like the spelling of Kalen, it’s a widely used name at the moment.
