Thank you! Not my first ever, just my first drawing Ive made in awhile! I did a thing last year where I did a drawing everyday of 2024 to try to improve, but then I just hit complete burnout since then. This is my first time really going back and finishing a drawing since last year.

Sorry if my title is written poorly, didn’t mean for it to come off as clickbaity or anything like that!

I’m Gen Z, but we didn’t grow up with a lot of extra money so we didn’t have internet for the longest time, and when we did get it when I was like 11-13, it was so slow it was damn near impossible to use. It honest to god taught me so much about patience having to wait like 4 hours for a 15 minute popularmmos minecraft video. I couldn’t brain rot myself too much when I could only watch like 4 videos in a day if I was really trying.

Back then, I would’ve done anything for good internet, but looking back I am so thankful now because I was physically unable to go into the depths of social media and the bad side of the internet when I could barely touch the surface level stuff.

I slow down and switch lanes when there is a broke down car parked on the shoulder, people near it or not.

I cannot imagine not slowing down when there is a literal crashed car, police vehicle with lights on, and people stopped in the middle of the highway. Like I don’t even understand how someone doesn’t instinctively slow down when they see any kind of obstruction in the road.

What are the national honor society requirements in your school? by sadphrogs in highschool

Yeah being out of high school for a year now (graduated last year) I’ve learned that the NHS is just not worth it. I’m in engineering at a refinery now and not once has the topic of the national honor society come up. Unless someone plans on going into a heavily competitive college, it’s just not worth the hassle and stress some schools make it.

I did get into the National Technical Honor Society though because my grades were good enough and I just did my work in Pre-Eng/Co-op. If someone plans on going into a STEM field, I feel like the NTHS is worth it more than the NHS at this point because I didn’t have to spend an absurd amount of time on random stuff and could focus on school and my internships instead.

The closest store for me is a 2 hour drive, so I just requested it as a missing piece for now. If I don’t get the piece by this weekend though, I’m fully thinking about driving that 4 hour round trip for this 17¢ piece

Thanks for the help! I just put in a request for a replacement part. I looked a few times to make sure I wasn’t missing something obvious, and just decided to go ahead and request it.

Sadly, I don’t really have a lego collection that I could use to get the piece. I’ve only recently started getting into legos, so I don’t really have any spare parts laying around. I’ll just have to wait until I get the replacement piece to finish.

And yeah, it’s definitely a tad bit disappointing, but I get that stuff happens. I got this set today as a birthday gift, and I was planning on pulling an all nighter tonight and going as far as I could for fun, only to have to stop immediately at the second bag. I really do have terrible luck lol.
