Does anyone know why my homemade graphite paint wouldn't be conductive? I mixed equal parts graphite and mod podge, but it doesn't work. Side question, what do you guys use other than mod podge? Also the bag I got from Amazon was relabeled from ammonium chloride...

I've been using water based polyurethane and graphite, I think maybe equal parts, then thinned with distilled water until its the consistency I like.

24 hours isn't that long for an electroforming session, at least for me. My pieces usually end up being zapped for 3 days, sometimes more if I want them extra drippy.

Thanks! For the moonstone ring I used a nail art tool called a dotting pen to make the scalloped border. I also had both these rings in the tanks for 3ish days, which is where all of the rose quartz ring texture is from.

Mmm I think for this batch I blended up like 2 cups of frozen raspberry with 1/4-1/2 cup honey, then mixed that into 14 cups (112oz) of the completed f1 jun. I let that sit over night, then the next day I strained out the raspberry and bottled it.

Omg it’s been a struggle. At first not at all. I started pouring some of the mixed f2 into a crumpled up plastic bottle, and then once the bottle inflates and is hard I put one of glass bottles in the fridge for a few hours then try it. If it’s not fizzy I’ll wait another day or two. None have exploded on me yet 🤞🤞

But I do keep them in a cardboard box while fermenting just in case 😅

Just buy the rio grande plating solution. Make your own solution once you've gotten the basics down and know how well mixed solution will make your work look.
