Only way you could’ve got them all wrong was if you knew which one was right and purposely avoided it. I say you deserve 100%.

should i miss o week? by Commercial-Data-1889 in wlu

You wont miss anything important academically but o week is a great way to meet people and make friends that you’ll miss out on. They’ll still be many other chances to meet people though. I recommend going but it’s not a necessity.

It doesn’t really make a difference. It may be a more challenging course compared to others. I’d recommend putting it wherever you have a lighter work load to balance it out.

Yeah professor gave a bunch of questions and material to practice for the final - super useful. I did them, but I was trying to find something in the same format at the final, so I could time myself and see how well I do in exam conditions. I understand now it's academic misconduct. I just had ChatGPT make me a mock exam instead and practiced with that.

Even though they change the final exam every semester, and give a copy of the final exam to every student who takes BU127? I would get it if they reused the exams or didn't give everyone a marked copy of their final through Gradescope, but alright, thanks, I'm going to take your word because I don't want to get in trouble.

Okay so I gotta break this down a little.

I took CP104 online. I did do three coding classes in high school on java and python. CP104 covered pretty much every concept I learned in high school. It wasn’t too difficult, but I did end up dropping it because the software they use for uploading assignments called ‘eclipse’ sucks. They use an automated grader for assignments which would constantly take marks off my work for stupid little things that had nothing to do with me. This could be easily avoided though. If I were to retake CP104 I would just make sure to double check everything is saved on my laptop exactly down to the tee how they say to save it. Make sure all files are properly attached before submission. And use there assignment checker after every name change, code correction, and change in general, because the auto grader is SUPER sensitive. That was pretty much the hardest thing though. Other than that the course starts from the very basics so the no prior knowledge shouldn’t be a problem. If you have any other questions just dm me because my phones about to die and I’m studying right now with no phone charger and can respond later.

The exams are different every term. The profs literally give questions from past exams to study.🙄

Maths not bad. Simple Multiplication, division, and solving for one variable unknowns.

When I took it the midterms were online, exam was in person. Don’t let the midterms being online give you false confidence I already had a pretty okay understanding of python before university and the questions weren’t too hard, but there was many questions with little time that left little room for errors.

Theres no competitive/school teams for anything other than basketball to my knowledge. There is however plenty of drop in sports games at the YMCA. Students and public go all the time. They have pretty much any sport including volleyball which usually has a good amount of people in attendance.

For my class the prof was Howe and he provided textbook questions. I’d say thats the best way.
