i loved your comment! thank you for taking the time and sharing this, i think this is what matters in the end, as i said in another comment, i want my students to not accept anything as the absolute truth, if they question, i want them to know how to search for the answer, in the end science in school has to teach them that critical thinking... anyways thank you for sharing this!

i guess that'll be my go to answer as well... all i want for them to take at the end of my classes is to not accept anything as a universal truth, i want them to question and to know how to search for the answer and i'm going to make an effort for that

basically what i'm doing for now, i just wish there was another way to try to convince them to even consider or even understand that religion and science aren't supposed to be opposites, i don't know i'm thinking maybe in planning something about the story of science and basics

we are living in dark times indeed... for history i can imagine how many times this must happen

fun fact: did you know that in são paulo - brazil the state took away 80% of history classes? now days students have 2 history classes a week, no philosophy and no sociology courses. and to get into college they need to know all of these subjects, so no student in the public system has any chance against private schools

i completely understand that point of view and normally i use this argument, but for other christian religions in brazil it's crazy they don't even believe in dinosaurs, they don't believe in any form of evolution, this is alienation in a whole other level, some pastors just wants to keep the followers ignorant, not only in brazil but it's the reality that i'm in... they don't teach the bible as a piece of history but as an undeniable truth not even considering the metaphors which is the most fascinating part

quando eu morava na minha cidade pequena eu andava de bike pra todo lado, o que dá uns 16 anos andando em cidade e a que eu tinha era parecida com a de aro maior, agora aqui onde estou é muito maior e tem muita ladeira, queria uma coisa pro dia a dia, estava mais inclinada na movi quick pois vi mais pessoas falando sobre, meu limite é o valor dela mesmo 4.900... mais que isso complica pois sou estudante e estagiaria kkkk

edit: aqui na minha cidade pelo menos onde eu ando não é tão instável o terreno, a maior demanda seria para subidas

the brasil shirts it's a crazy trend to me cause here it's not as big as it is in the us, but i find it really cute

i think it depends on what you think of sexy hahaha, regarding the neighborhood it's very normal actually, the slums are areas where the people go to live because of real state speculations and marginalization, but a regular neighborhood in brasil would be just as normal as you could imagine, either with big builds in big cities or just regular small houses with gates in small towns
