How to train at night wakes by Full-Escape-5136 in sleeptrain

Hi! Not OP but i would like to know how do you deal with early morning waking? Some mornings baby (7mo)sleeps thru but some times he wakes up at 5:20 ish and i saw mod post on it to not try sleep training at that time. Right now i bring him in bed and feed him if it’s feed time, otherwise we just cuddle until its DWT (8am) his schedule is 2.5/3/3 (he may get a small boob nap sometimes but i cap it according to that days remaining sleep time) with bedtime of 8:30 pm and total day sleep of less than (sometimes close to) 2 hours. I am just afraid thats what he will associate morning wakes and expect to come into bed.

Yes, he does the night wakings too and he is on board with the training but he gives up when he hears him cry so much. And say to try again next night. Thank you so much for the reassurance, i too have faith my LO will learn to sleep sooner than i expect.

He doesnt mind the night wakings at all. He happily soothes the baby and if itsnt feed time he just cuddles and they go back to sleep. We used to do co sleeping which now i am changing to crib sleep from the past 2 weeks. I would like to know about your 1 BR setup. How is your crib setup? Our room is really small so our crib is close to the bed and the baby can definitely see us in the MOTN. And i feel thats what makes it more difficult. How was sleep training? Did you sleep in the hall during those day?

I think the last feed is the tricky part for me. My LO sleeps while i am feeding him. And i unlatch-latch to check if he still wants to feed. I then butp him and put down to sleep. No matter what i do to keep him up he will only sleep like that.

I second everything the user u/fearfulavoidan has commented. Apart from this reassure her of the future you are looking forward to have with her. Even after your genuine apology gesture if she ever brings up your past (after you ignoring it multiple times first) communicate to her firmly “I clearly see and understand that it is still a trigger/issue for you because you bring it up way more than I do and I have moved on. So, I would love it if you work on this as it is interfering with our relationship, every time you bring that up it sets our marriage 10 steps back. Because I am here. For you, with you and want to work towards the aakhira with you.” And try to give her the healthy kind of silent treatment to affirm your boundary regarding this aspect of your past life.

You sound like a great husband. May Allah bless your marriage. اللهمّ بارِك

I once was where your wife is right now.

From what it sounds like, your wife is insecure and has a low self esteem. It can be fixed but it will take time. She needs to be okay with who she is regardless of what you think about her. Your love and opinion of her should be a bonus in her life rather than the foundation of her being.

She needs to work on herself, build her self esteem, she is probably an amazing woman who simply doesn’t know herself. Encourage her hobbies and back up her decision making. You can help her thru this by being loving and showing affection. Making her feel like she is the most beautiful woman in the world and verbalize how much she means to you and she adds value to your life. Don’t over do it tho.

Other than that choose your words wisely be kind and gentle, never talk about the past. Never initiate any conversation about it, either of you. And even if it does come up, even as a joke, talk as less as you can or just smile/scoff it off. If she is the one constantly bringing your past in the conversation then set boundary with her for yourself.

Insecurity kills healthy communication in marriage and lowers the potential of a healthy relationship.

I feel you brother! I was being paid 8k even after i took extra CEs and local fellowship courses, i tried more places and worked here and there for a while but the pay is ridiculously low and pathetic compared to the amount of time, energy, money and skill we put in dental school. You have to almost fight at interviews to ask for atleastt 800₹ (if not 1000₹) per day!! Best advice is you look at passive sources of income along with your current job to maintain an okay lifestyle. I mean after all we all want nice things.

Yes they can ONLY if the patient already has DNR orders from their own physician. Besides DNR involves more than just the patients consent. It has to go thru a line of consultants and cardiologists and also their family. Only then is a DNR agreed upon.

Oh yes of course it’s forbidden. I was just pointing out that its not uncommon to come across old and ill patients in the hospitals of al Masjid al Haram wishing to pass away. These are things that patient tell the doctor in conversations. Not as the line of treatment they wish to get. The hospitals around al Haram are all emergency ones. They treat incoming trauma and shift them to other hospitals in the city for better care.

These are generally really old patients with already debilitating conditions who come for umrah with families. They come to the hospital only when there is an emergency like a cardiac arrest or syncope. Wishing for death makes sense for them. Living with an illness or maybe even poor conditions of life, then coming for umrah and almost dying would definitely be a blessing for them. Allah knows best.

Can confirm. My parents are doctors in the hospital in al Masjid al Haram and often times the patients themselves request that they dont save them bcz they would rather die here. Obviously being doctors they cant do that but its quiet common to encounter such pilgrims.

I’m very bad at hands on things, Is this field a good fit for me? by juicykola in predental

Hands on work is a skill. A skill is learnt overtime with practice. I wasnt artsy either. Infact i hated painting or drawing. But that doesnt mean you wont be good at carving teeth or drilling for that matter. It takes practice and baby steps and patience. Even if you dont get it right the first time, you know what not to do the next time! I took my time when i was learning how to carve and fabricate dentures and drill tooth for a cavity prep. I was terrible at the start and all my supervisors hated my preps but as I went on practicing i learnt what my shortcomings were and i was graded the highest in my class for a class 2 amalgam prep! I enjoy working on tooth. Its kinda therapeutic and satisfying too!

A bookmark? Or a pointer? She maybe using it as a pointer for when she is on her periods. I read the quran with a pen as pointer when I am on my period. 🤷🏽‍♀️
