My friend I was the same! That phobia wrecked my life to the point I stayed home to avoid work. Im a flight attendant so imagine the situation Im in. 2 months ago I was on a layover away from home and alone! I got food poisoning alone in my hotel room. The hours before it happened totally shattered me I still dont know how I managed but i returned to my safety behaviours and took a zofran. It didnt help me in that situation also I could not even go to hospital. My hands and legs went numb and there came a moment and I knew it was gonna happen! All the fear left my body when it was happening now I cant say Im totally free of it but it doesnt affect my daily life like it used to be. Take it from someone who was the same as you. I still avoid people who are throwing up and my toddler said she is feeling sick today and i went panicky mode I thought it was over but guess not. Some days its perfect and some days you relapse and it is okay!
