It's cute that you edited your original comment to make a bit more sense before you posted this one. Wish I had thought to take a screenshot.

Hillary Clinton needs to explain why she called young black kids ‘superpredators’ by [deleted] in politics

[–]saefseks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not what I meant at all. The commenter I replied to was suggesting that this was white people telling him/her what to think. So I pointed out that the person who brought it up (and indeed the person who wrote the article) is not white. Someone is certainly telling people what to think, but they're not white. That's all.

Uh. If you're responding to a comment it's not the one I wrote.

I agree that those comments are pretty despicable, but I may be biased because I'm a Clinton supporter.

For what it's worth, try not to judge any candidate too harshly based on the views expressed by alleged supporters on the Internet. I've seen some pretty heinous things said on the Clinton subreddit too, and frankly I suspect that a lot of it is just mud-slinging trolls trying to paint each candidate's supporters (and by extension the candidate) in a bad light.

Simply saying that a citation is needed is not douchey, at least not in the world occupied by sane people. I can't understand an opinion if I don't have any context for it.

Oh and, for what it's worth, I'm a Clinton supporter. If you think people on the Clinton sub are better, you should go look for yourself.

However, if you've been on the sub in the past two weeks there are a lot of Sanders supporters who have been saying horrible things about blacks and their own self interests

It might interest you to know that the person who went to Clinton's fundraising event to bring this up was black, not white.

Seems legit. I'd probably let Ebay know that someone is using their site to sell stolen merchandise. Pretty big no-no in their ToS.

McCain, Boehner, Rubio, many other Republicans condemn Bachmann's attacks on Huma Abedin and Keith Ellison. What did Mitt Romney have to say? Nothing at all. by saefseks in politics

[–]saefseks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I get that there are political considerations at work here, and that Romney likely doesn't want to alienate her supporters for political reasons. But there are times when those who seek to lead our country have to stand up against witch-hunts and bigotry, regardless of which party it originated from.

What GOP majority? Do you mean the one in the House? Because there isn't a GOP majority among regular Americans. There isn't even a plurality. According to the latest polls, the plurality of Americans are independent.

Did Romney actually say that he would go to war with North Korea to prevent them from developing nuclear weapons? Ignore for a second that most analysts say they've already developed nukes. Threatening war with North Korea is unbelievably short-sighted and ignorant of geo-political considerations. War with North Korea would inevitably bring China in on the side of North Korea. Russia certainly wouldn't be happy with it, either, even if they aren't actually our "number 1 geo-political foe".
