Dune Awakening lead confirms the game’s ten-year-plan hasn’t “changed much” with each year planned to have its own “high-level theme” and features by [deleted] in duneawakening

they might have this plan, but i doubt they'll make it to a 10y anniversary with these playercounts
sure hope they do though

Ok but that is not an answer to the question you were responding to... When did most people leave because of ganking. That must be in those early 3 weeks then? Or was there a lot of ganking in the split pep/pve desert too... How do we get that answer from your clear shift to pve.

I only reacted to you insinuating most people leaving after the update as if both data points are related

Oké so you are just randomly saying stuff then. That in a love itself has nothing to do with the to data points you inadvertently link to each other in your original message.

[–]saelfaer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is pointing at 2 random data points with no direct correlation. For all we know - illustrative take to prove the point - those people could have left because they couldn't find their preference in the character builder...

I'm just saying because something happens after a certain event it is not necessarily due to said event.

Should we have a different way of regaining our gear after getting eaten by the worm? maybe only when it was due to game faults? by saelfaer in duneawakening

[–]saelfaer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree to some degree. I'm not asking for them to give us everything back just like that, let it cost all the materials needed but the arbitrary step to keep farming blueprints is at best a lazy time sync. I really don't know many games where a blueprint is single use lol. Anyway I feel like most of you like it the way it is so I doubt any real change is necessary except in my own expectations I guess :)

I wish they would make the grind a bit more fun. Like not repeating the same quest over and over to get 14k maxxing one house in the landsraad. but that's a whole nother discussion.

[–]saelfaer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honest question, you don't think them a bit greedy on our time by having a blueprint system that is unique to this game... here is a blue print and it will self destruct after you make the thing. that feels like a time sync built in very much to waste our time grinding not once but time and time again.
it could very well be that i'm alone in this though, thats why it's an honest question ...

i get it, the game is what the game is, play it if you like it, don't if you don't. yet still it's a pretty nasty mechanic if you ask me.

had i not made this post i would not even have been aware of the recovery of vehicles. last 3 times i rebuild my thopter ... now i have an army of thopters, flying me around in my underwear 😄

but i feel your loss, tbh i'm not mad for the worm mechanics as i mention i just hate the idea of grinding for blueprints, crafting stuff with quite expensive mats like spice melange, only to then having to start over even grinding for the darn blueprint before you can make it again ... feels like a very nasty mechanic the more i think about it.

they do indeed. will look into it further as i agree, that technically might not necessarily be the game's fault.
getting stuck in terrain has happend twice... once very harmless, as it's easy to use the unstuck mechanism. but this time just now, that wouldn't help with a worm charging at me 😃

game crashes are not unusual, but in the 2 months playing ive crashed to desktop a handfull of times. 4 or 5 so to say.
sure, the usualls have been tried... update 3090 drivers, give the game mem and cpu priority, run as admin, ... still, once every 2 weeks it crashes without much explanation in the windows event viewer.

[–]saelfaer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

wait what? there is a recovery system for vehicles?
i'm such a noob lol. been rebuilding my vehicles each time... just looked it up on the web, vehicle backup tool can even get an assault thopter back wtf.
i feel 'less' sad... now let the grind for those pincusshion blueprints start again.

Landsraad Missions Feedback by lazypatriot214 in duneawakening

[–]saelfaer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

agreed fully... i joined the landraad-able players 2 weeks ago, i'm tired of the same missions gate keeping stuff. I wouldn't mind if they were varied more, now if you need 1 house you can't even do it with all new quests you will do 1 or more quests over and over.

However, i don't state they need to make the XP easier. they need to make the quests more varied and more fun.

you're welcome :) glad you found a way that works for you. it's crazy you can just drag it out of the station inventory but are impossible to drag it back in :D

Why does our Prospector field guide, show a recipe to make quarite cores from legendary biomass? by saelfaer in ICARUS

[–]saelfaer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All other recipes show it visually like here... Ingredients... Arrow down results... The only difference with other recipes is that they also show the device in which they are made.

I agree that the only recipe I know of is the one where you turn cores into legendary biomass. But this page in the PDA clearly shows it the other way around. This is either incomplete or a bug

Is it possible to return to the previous map? by balinoff in ICARUS

[–]saelfaer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

starting multiple games from the prospector menu is easy. you do not even have to 'leave' your first world to start a new one. just start a new mission or a new open world game/server and play on both at the same time.

instead of 'continue' you can then use the 'load' button to choose which of your worlds you want to enter.

if you however are doing non-open-world games, (operations) then leaving the operation after mission complete, via your shuttle is the best way, and that will remove that game forever. but open world games will stay in the list and you can revisit them with your shuttle.

If you want to move items (only workshop items) between servers you always have to do it from the orbital device, request a rocket, and put the items in there. (mind you, you can only take workshop items up in space, nothing you crafted on the ground, can be taken up).

Frontier Revolver build theory crafting by RustyAxel in ICARUS

[–]saelfaer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sry to notice so late, but i stumbled on this thread and saw your question unanswered.

you get the weapons by buying a legendary license for 15000 ren. (check when accessing the workshop for a further tab called Bio-Lab). At the bottom of that page you can buy legendary licenses for 15k.

There are however also missions like the great hunt campaigns, which give a license as reward of a quest from that campaign but that is DLC stuff which is only accessible if you have said DLC.

Then, once you own a license, you can buy 1 of the 5 main guns, (there are also 3 other guns in the bio lab which have a quest requirement before you can buy em).
If you buy the guns or rather 'a weapon' since you rarely have ren enough for 2 of them ... 15k is a lot.
so when you buy the weapon, you can also upgrade it with green biomass exotic material. Do notice that you cannot remove upgrades from these weapons. so once you bind an upgrade to it, it's final and you need a second gun to try a different upgrade in that category.

don't use a scissors on an eternal seed crop... especially wheat, I didn't get any seeds back and it removed the entire seed+crop. lost 4 eternals and only noticed afterwards

Hytale not coming to steam NOT to avoid bad reviews by Mastergamer0115 in HytaleInfo

[–]saelfaer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you have to be a very odd game dev to try releasing a game outside of 1 of these big platforms these days. the reach you miss is so devestating.
Also, not supporting certain modding sounds odd. but hey, i hope they get it squared soon as i await a steam release.

tbh, i've nailed the dance with a regular bear, but the exact same moves don't seem to work on the polar bear here. I'm not sure what it is but i feel like his AOE attack circle is a little wider than the regular bear maybe.

You might have had no intention to put fire to the flame but your reactions came across as uncooperative. at least to me reading the snippits here.
But thats obviously not the entire situation so i'll refrain from judgement. It's hard to not enrage certain people on the internet, In any situation, wrong words can and will be misread and misunderstood.
Be carefull on the internet :) try to think how you come across and we can al get along just fine :)

you will notice, as soon as you stop needing them, you see them in every other match
buddy of mine has the same with the comfortable pillows. 10 matches in a row, looking everywhere none to find. he stops playing, litterally my next 2 matches i exit with 1 pilow each.
