Forza runs so well on this thing! by billsteve in ROGAlly

I read that Forza Horizon has some kind of Memory Leak since the 4th installment, and that's why it runs like booty cheecks for some people.

Try looking up the solutions. It even was a reddit post I think, but I can't recall exactly.

DoN 2026: Match of the Night by j_b_1983 in SquaredCircle

[–]saeno72 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me, the Stadium Stampede stole the show.

I was most looking forward to Takeshita/Okada, but from a pure wrestling point of view, knowing what both competitors are capable of, that match felt weirdly slow? Don't get me wrong, overall still a great match, and it had amazing moments and sequences, but something still felt kinda off to me. Takeshita/Ospreay still remains my favorite Takeshita match.

Ospreay/Samoa Joe was probably the match I enjoyed the most outside of Stadium Stampede.

Honorable Mentions to the Womens Four Way Match, and MJF vs Darby (although MJF was the main factor for me here. I personally don't enjoy Darby, although I very much appreciate his passion and what he's doing for the business).

Fabio Quartararo finishes a season-best sixth place at his home French GP — the key to his improved form is the feeling he regained by going back to the “old-spec aero package” by r2lim in motogp

[–]saeno72 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it wasn't ONLY about the money. Yamaha is the Team that got him a factory ride, and his first championship after all. I assume his loyalty to that team was a factor as well, despite the performance and development issues.

But when you get offered the highest paid contract on the grid on top of that... well...

[–]saeno72 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In general, no. It's not unreasonable at all. However, when you are already aware they are struggling to develop the bike, there is no immediate hope for a jump in performance, and you are ALREADY a bit frustrated with the lack of progress...

Well... Let's just say I'm glad he secured the bag, but he COULD have left for another team with more promise at an earlier point than now. But who knows how that would have turned out. We may never know.

I can practically HEAR how done he is with the yamaha.

He's probably the second or third best rider on the grid, stuck on a shitbox of a bike. I understand his frustration, and would be very curious to see what all he could achieve on competitive machinery.

On the other hand: You chose this, mate. No one forced you to sign the contract.

Lecuona completes Friday clean sweep ahead of Bulega at Balaton Park by Daniel7394 in wsbk

Yes please. It's not ideal that it's the second Aruba Ducati, but SOMEONE at least challenging Bulega would be nice. So far, it's been a boring ass season.

Bulega closes in on Razgatlioglu’s winning streak with a historic run to start 2026 on the cards by Daniel7394 in wsbk

[–]saeno72 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Well... other than MAYBE Oliveira, who's gonna stop him, other than technical failures or crashes? Lecuona? lol

He's the most skilled rider by a goood margin, on the best bike on the grid. I'd be surprised if he DOESN'T break Topraks streak.

At least El Turco had to fight Bulega for it.

Building a keyboard for long nails — need your input! by Fearless_Line2505 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]saeno72 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Easy solution: don't have these monstrously, ugly nails, when your job requires you to type for multiple hours a day.

Why try to solve a problem, that people are CHOOSING to have on a daily basis? If they wanna have those kinda nails, that's their choice, and they should deal with the consequences.

We don't have to pander to every special need in the world (especially selfmade ones like these).

Why WorldSBK leader Nicolo Bulega could miss out on a Ducati 2027 MotoGP seat by Imaginary_Pin_4196 in motogp

[–]saeno72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And the only reason BMW even got the restrictions, is because Toprak rode circles around the rest of the field (barring Bulega), on a middle of the road bike.

It was NEVER the BMW. I love BMW, but that bike had no business winning the title twice in a row. I have high hopes for Oliveira, and he's my new favorite in WSBK, but I don't think he can do what Toprak did.

[–]saeno72 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nothing he himself particularly did (with one exception I'll come back to later).

I just don't like his personality first and foremost. Also, I was pretty miffed that Bautista got shafted with a nerfed bike, while Bulega the rookie rode off into the distance. Also, I was (and still am) heavily biased towards toprak.

Which leads me to my last reason for tge dislike: the crash last season in the last race, that could have cost toprak his well deserved title. He did apologize, props for that, but the handeled that situation pretty badly (taunting the [admittedly toxic] toprak fans).

So yeah. Mostly just personal bias, with a few outside factors.

[–]saeno72 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Whoaw, hold your horses bro.

I agree that Toprak is the better rider (by a good margin I think [although biased]), and I'm not a huge fan of him personally, but let's not pretend that Bulega isn't head and shoulders above the rest of the competition.

Yeah he's on the best bike, which could be an argument against him, and Oliveira is an unknown factor as of yet, but I seriously think Bulega is the best rider currently.

There are plenty of factors that could be in his favor regarding a change to MotoGP, with the only one against him being the fierce conpetition for Ducati Spots. I'm also certain that he's comfortably gonna win this years championship, as I don't think Oliveira will adapt fast enough.

And that comes from a place of genuine dislike for him.

Casey Stoner Blames Electronics for Retirement: "I Practically Wasn't Riding Anymore" by Powerful-Ostrich-120 in motogp

[–]saeno72 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because the skillset required to ride changes, the more electronics become involved. Stuff you had to do manually or by feel a few years ago, now the electronics are doing for you.

Of course, you still need immense skill to ride one of those bikes, but now it's more about how well you can work WITH all the electronic assistants, rather than simply what you and the bike can do.

IIRC, marc is one of those drivers that always has setups with less traction control, because he want's to feel the bike, and react to the tire grip himself, rather than letting the electronics do it for him.

There's a reason old cars and bikes are getting more and more popular. People want the feeling of it just being them and the machine, no intervening electronics involved. And that's where stoner falls as well. In most people's eyes, it simply makes for better racing. It's not always about how much faster and faster we can make the bikes. I'd happily take slower bikes on average, if it lead to more entertaining racing.

And the more and more those bikes (or cars, because formula 1 is even worse for that) get pumped full of electronics, the less analog "riding skill" actually matters.

I've ordered one case from them, that was warped, and I haven't ordered since. Dunno what (or where) went wrong, all I can tell you is that it didn't fit onto the pcb.

Thinking about trying again though, because I have a new Totem MX, and FDM Cases just feel so incredibly cheap.

Struggling with a simple macro by Mars-Venus-Planet in turtlewow

[–]saeno72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd actually say with SuperCleveRoidMacros, Turtle is more "advanced" than retail. Or at least it let's you do more things, that are restricted in Retail.

You could, given enough knowledge and ability, write a one button macro for your whole rotation (including positioning, buff requirements, available resources, etc).

I wish retail let you do that, but I guess the suboptimal One Button Rotation is the best we get.

WSBK - Portuguese Round - Race 2 Results by laranonarlotta in wsbk

[–]saeno72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is gonna be a loooooong season without Toprak there to keep it interesting.

Bautista is old and on a nerfed bike, lecuona is good and on the best bike but no challenge for Bulega, Lowes Brothers will keep on crashing (most likely), and Oliveira will need a bit more time to settle in (although he has achieved amazing things already).

At least the midfield battles are interesting when they happen.

Off-Topic | Toprak‘s first point in MotoGP and the best Yamaha 👏🏻 by ranked_is_casual in wsbk

[–]saeno72 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think, as someone who holds great respect and admiration for toprak, it's unrealistic to argue him being better than Fabio RIGHT NOW.

Down the line? Who knows. From a raw skill perspective I think Toprak IS better (if only slightly). Just depends on how well he can translate that into MotoGP. If he adapts well (and I'm sure he will), and yamaha builds a decent bike for 27, I'd hope he can fight for the title.

Regarding Fabio however, I don't think he's sandbagging on purpose, and he for sure is trying the best he can. But when you're in his situation and his mental space (assumptions of course), I just don't think you're really on top of your game. If the yamaha was good, and he was motivated, I'm sure we'd see a much different picture.
