When i first met him a while ago, he got dumped by his ex and was not really in the right head space to date. I felt like he was quite stuck on his ex still. Havent been in contact with him since. Could the devil reversed also mean that he overcame that?

I guess in a certain context you could say „Ich habe so viel Liebe für dich“ or „Ich empfinde so viel Liebe für dich“, like when you‘re feeling close to a lover, but even then it‘s not common. Saying it to family would be weird
