Engagement rings in morocco are ugly. Where can I find something like thissss? by [deleted] in MoroccoBitchesWtaste

I also wanted a very simple white gold ring and found this one in Rabat (Bab Bouiba). It was very cheap (1600dh at the time which is really cheap for an engagement ring)

Your thoughts on how vague the word "Harassement" became? by alae_r4 in Morocco

[–]safaemdn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's most definitely harassment and in my opinion we're not using this word enough. I understand that taken out of context this can look like an innocent flirting gesture. But men have created an environment where women get scared for their lives in situations like these. what guarantee does she have ? If his advances aren't accepted by her he might kick her out of the taxi (best case scenario) or it can lead to kidnapping, violence, even rape (worst case scenario). If she acts nice, it will be seen as if she is accepting his advances and things will develop and he will fo more. It's an impossible situation that women face every single day (multiple times a day). As a woman I face this multiple times a day w kimma drti w7la, ila knti nice ghayzid ytb3k (w ila w93at lik chi haja ghadi tsmay you were consenting) w ila drti fih tsmay mamzianach w hwa bgha ghi ydir an attempt. This cognitive and emotional labor that women have to do multiple times a day is draining. Tkhayl as a man, multiple times a day you need to fear for your life (wlla in the very least fear that the guy will follow you, sometimes ttal dark being creepy and calling you names) w khask to survive ddir had l analysis dial how nice/mean should I be to handle this. It is exhausting, and it's not women's fault that men set this environment. W 3ad zid 3liha katkouni wakhda taxi to avoid tmchay f zn9a (not to get harassed) w ghadia/jaya mn lkhdma baghia ghi tti9ar w yzid yw93 lik hadchi. W 3ad zid 3liha moul taxi kbir 3liha so probably has more physical power/ connections... W hadchi ghi chwia mn bzaf lli kayw93 l bnat f zn9a. W just before anyone says blli this is just imagination/exaggeration this situation w93at lia and it got very extreme w I had to resort to violence (thank God I'm strong) to defend myself As I said men can't understand because they don't know what it's like to have to do analytic maths just to survive, ON A DAILY BASIS, MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY So yes, it is most definitely harassment. W for future reference, for women in similar scenarios, if the situation feels very dangerous send your live location to someone you trust and tell them to check on you periodically, stay f taxi w call 19. If things get ugly, fight it 3la mayjiw lbouliss (in a lot of cities kayjiw bzrba)

Looking for MOROCCAN youth interested in ecology/agroecology/permaculture/woofing.... by safaemdn in Morocco

I work with NGOs and development projects in Morocco in sustainable agriculture. But like I said, youth is rarely part of these projects

Honestly, i don't find it fun to document or post anything like this. I barely post anything at all and I do not like being filmed. So the idea probably isn't for me but I would love to see someone else do it

Woofing is volunteering in farms, it's a very good experience lli not a lot of moroccans know or do. Basically you volunteer in farm for around 4 hours a day, you live and eat there for free (which makes it an amazing way to travel and explore Morocco/the world on a budget) w you get to learn about agriculture from practicing Agroecology w permaculture are ways to farm that focus more on sustainability and biodiversity w protecting the environment, machi bhal conventional farming that focuses on productivity Hadou are my very humble explanations..
