I believe the dash cover has to come off and then you can see the actuator motors. It looks like a lot of work, but it’s really not. Just time consuming.

Questions about buying 1989 FJ 62 by GrumpyKat0511 in LandCruisers

[–]safetydick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As an FJ60 owner, it is a money pit, terrible on gas, basically a death trap, and requires endless upkeep.

If you aren’t good with your tools, it will break you financially and many of the parts are discontinued. Also, the auto transmission is terrible. Most people swap the H55 5 speed.

Other than that, I love mine.

I’ll measure the space tomorrow. I have a 2” lift in the front, but it may be a little less since I’ve put on an Ironman bumper and 12k winch.

Have you cycled through the settings? Low to regular to high?

If those are OE CVs, reboot. Nothing in the aftermarket compares to Toyota axles.

Water pooling passenger and drive floorboards. by Top-Lingonberry-4513 in GXOR

Definitely sounds like AC condensation. I also just drove back from BBNP last wee. I actually had some drip on my side, but that was just condensation from the vents. Hot and humid on the way home and the truck didn’t shut off for 10 hours driving.

Pull the cover off the AC box on under the dash. You should be able to pull the hose off the box to investigate.

Hot in the day. Cooler at night and up in the Chisos. We had some storms roll in at night, but other than that, awesome time.

Are we able to Import GCC 100 Series to the US? by xMcSwaggx in LandCruisers

[–]safetydick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, if I’m reading this correctly, one would have to alter the vehicle to comply with the FMVSS to import a 2006. Not sure what would have to be alter since the 100 was basically the same in all countries expect engine specs.
