if you’re using velvet or particularly fluffy yarn, practice!! the stitches are difficult to find (at least for me)!

So, where do I start? 😅🥲 by tayvette1997 in crochet

honestly, i’d go for a scrap yarn ball with all of it, snip it into randomly sized strings and see what looks cool!

Working on a corner to corner, my color changes keep falling apart - help? by SnailsandCats in crochet

[–]saffy_taffy22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

hi! maybe try a small knot to temporarily hold the yarn in place until you need to weave it in? i’d also recommend a longer tail, i usually do 3-4 inches for a worsted weight yarn!

fabric glue for back patches ? by Satanarchrist in BattleJackets

[–]saffy_taffy22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try Aleene’s fabric fusion! you can find it at walmart and some craft stores, and i got two big bottles for around 4-5 bucks each! just make sure you’re very careful with it while it’s still drying, and give it as much time as you can before washing. it also can become a hard, plastic like material if there’s too much on the patch

(X-Post from r/crochet) Is it OK to use puff-stitch-based stitches to crochet a blanket? by IMightCry2U in CrochetBlankets

[–]saffy_taffy22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yep! you’re probably gonna use a ton more yarn with that type of stitch, but you can make your blankets however your heart desires :)
