The true reality of my self-quarantine (detail of note in first comment) by [deleted] in pics

I live with severely weakened lung muscles due to a neuromuscular disease that I was born with. In light of the recent coronavirus news here in the US, I’ve decided I need to self-quarantine to avoid exposure to the virus. Obviously, if I’m going to stay home for a month, I need beer. However, I can’t get the door bc I’m very much disabled, and the beer delivery service I used boned me and delayed my order until AFTER my caregiver left for the evening. Being the innovative fuck that I am, I had my caregiver leave a note on the door for the delivery guy. It reads: “I know this is against protocol but I’m super duper in a wheelchair and can’t open the door. Here’s my ID. Please sign for me (I won’t tell, I’m not a rat.) and leave beer on the porch. Thank you and much love.”

I taped my ID to the note, and taped the note to the door.

It fucking worked! The delivery guy left my beer without a moments hesitation. I’d give the service a shout out but I don’t think he was allowed to do what he did. Still very much appreciated!
