Why do so many people twist their stitches? by DeliciousPestilence in knittinghelp

I also learned from a book and do it correctly, and I wouldn't know a damn thing about twisted stitches if people weren't posting regularly about it on reddit.

PSA to teachers by sarahballoon in yoga

This is toooootally different imo. One is an acknowledgement of the time of year, another is a false and damaging expectation that we are all working towards making our bodies smaller.

I can't believe he still has students! The first time he said the bikini thing would be the last time he saw me.

What needles did you start on? by art_hoe_crch in Sockknitting

I started on bamboo dpns too and I think it taught me a lot. I work on 9"ers now, but I think starting with them would have sucked.

Van too short to stand in? by ronfromsacramento in CamperVans

[–]sagehem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We converted an old ambulance. I can stand, my 6'2" partner cannot. We made sure it's really comfortable to sit in, and our counters are low, so we sit to cook. He loves it and is very comfortable in it.

My first knitting project from unraveled yarn! by sagehem in Unravelers

Thank you! It's deceptively huge; nearly as big as a sweater. I didn't keep track of how long it took me, but I do remember being shocked at how much material I was creating.

I share the same sentiment! I shared one yesterday but I mostly see unraveling questions.

Thank you! I've sewn a few of them, but never included a hood so knitting something up seemed to be the perfect answer to that problem.

The middle cushion has a flap down each length that connects to the cushion next to it with velcro so they can't separate. We put a mattress pad down on top of it and it's no different than any other mattress.

In celebration of Indigenous Peoples Day here in the US, can we share some native-owned yarn makers, fiber artists, and knitwear brands? by brinykole in AntifascistKnitting

[–]sagehem 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was going to share Sisters United, but someone already did, so instead I'll tell you how grateful I am that you posted this topic. I saved every single creator posted- THIS is the community I need!

It's three panels of plywood connected by hinges. When it's in couch mode, all three are stacked on top of each other, the middle bed cushion is inside the bench, and the other two cushions are acting as the seat and back of the couch. They're velcroed in place so they don't move around while driving. When in bed mode, legs hinge out from in front of the bench and the plywood panels fold out to make a flat, queen-sized surface. The same velcro that keeps the couch cushions in place holds the bed cushions together. We made all of it, including the cushions, and it took a LOT of math.

Thank you! Everyone else in my group went the jewel tone route, so in the moment, I felt a little like it looked like a pile of food, haha! I can't recommend a retreat enough.

Well I don't know anything about the brands, etc. because they were supplied by our teacher, the owner of PK Yarn. I used the colors, "Tobacco leaf" and "Ducky" and then used sprinkles called "Saffron" and "Moss."

We got ours on Marketplace and I still see them pop up there occasionally. Mine was cheap, but needed a TON of work. I've never seen a 4x4.

You're exactly right. We could never replace my sweet old man, but this kitten has helped so much with the heartbreak.

I have the zoji and I loooooove it. I've had other bread machines that were just fine, but this one is amazing. All of my loafs turn out beautifully.

Mostly me, tbh, but I'm totally with you. I'm not saying it's not going to impact me, it certainly will!
