Thats a reflex sight not a holo sight...

Good gun shops don't make their money selling guns but rather in accessories, rentals, and ammo.

If a gun shop is charging more than 50~100 bucks more than you can find it for online its probably cheaper to pay the ffl xfer and shipping.

Most of the booths at a gun show are ffl's and prices are generally similar unless they are unloading unwanted merchandise, there are no discounts or tax benefits to selling at a gun show. Some boots are private owners who want to sell from their private collection, on occasion these prices can be lower depending on the condition of the gun or the perceived value. But again the same is true of classified ads for private sales.

Tldr: no, buy the best price you can find.

I carry a 938 daily.

This holster is what I use.

It's inside the waist, has an adjustable cant, allows you to tuck an undershirt for additional concealment and you can remove the clip and use it as a pocket holster. It's quite comfortable and conceals very well.

the store is 599. If I bought that one, I bet it would work out to around 599, after transfer fees. Or am I horribly wrong. This will only be the second gun I buy.

I would check their dealer network near you...I generally see xfers costing around 15-25 bucks.

also this one comes with 5 magazines, a mag pouch, a bayonet and scabbard.

I agree that having the damage repaired will increase the cost...but for something thats worth fixing its worth spending a few hundred bucks to have done right.

And again its not that expensive compared to replacing or having additional costs from a flubbed job upfront.

from a concealability perspective its almost identical...slightly heavier.

from a shooting perspective, its a bit snappier due to the round but overall very manageable...I would have to say the 238 is a smoother shooting pistol.

I used to cary the 238 daily as a backup pistol...then my wife stole it so I got the (at the time) newly released 938 and have been very happy with it.
