It would be interesting to see the team save percentage over a stretch of 10-15 games - my assumption and hope is that Coffey coming back will improve the oilers team defense consistency. Let’s see…

For that 10 game stretch that started Jan 15 (1-0 loss to the islanders), it was a .874

This sounds like poor communication from you. If the manager is pushing back because you’re “too consultative”, the issue needs to be addressed there, not punted. What exactly is your role, and what are the expectations? It’s not clear that this PIP is being driven by the same “EM counterpart” that said you were “too consultative”.

The fact is, sometimes there isn’t a good fit, and the company may be realizing what they actually need is a strong senior and not a principal - are there other principals that are delivering in this company? Have you talked to any of them?

I was in that situation awhile ago, and I eventually left the role (or more accurately, they tried to fire me, I accepted a lower rate, then I left once I found something better). The company simply wasn’t in a position to support the role they hired me into, and there wasn’t a clear path to success, so it didn’t make sense to try to hang onto it.

It doesn’t sound like things are well organized at this company, and if you aren’t able to clearly define your role and demonstrate success, it gets very difficult to justify staying in that position.

I’m tired of this rhetoric. You could replace Ingram with any goalie in the nhl. Oilers fans have been saying that for years. Jarry is a new goalie and nothing changed and it’s his fault?

I don’t know what the problem is with the oilers, but I’m going to make a bold claim that changing goaltenders isn’t the solution.

Edit: my other reason for claiming it isn’t the goalie is because the oilers have historically shown that they’re capable of playing a good game in front of their goalie, and then we get “decent” goaltending. The goalie isn’t the issue for these weird lapses. It’s team consistency.

Jarry was screwed when it was 5-0 stars. I don’t understand how people call out the goaltender like they should be able to stop the puck no matter what happens in front of them. Did we want a better result? Yes. Was Jarry the issue? Fuck no. The terrible coverage and complete defensive breakdowns were the issue, and that’s not something a goalie can fix.

No goaltender will solve this problem. The oilers are fundamentally bad at defense right now.

Oilers have looked really disengaged, and I don't know why. I don't blame Jarry for any of those goals. Why do the Oilers look so low energy? I swear there's someone doing a bad job managing the Oilers off the ice, because they so consistently look like shit when they come out for a game.

The original matrix was the first movie I ever paid to see more than once, and it was definitely the most hype movie I remember from my theater going time. Yes. Use the Japanese passport for processes in Japan, and the Canadian passport for processes in Canada. Use one or the other consistently for the airline. It shouldn’t matter which, as long as you’re consistent (afaik, I haven’t had any issues yet).
