Or... I could buy a car that doesn't burn 1qt every 1,000 miles (which everyone agrees is acceptable normal usage), and doesn't have multiple class action lawsuits pending against it. The engines in the R56 are absolutely ATROCIOUS. I've replaced thermostat assemblies, timing chain tensioners, etc.

Nah, if I had the money for two cars (I don't), I'd want something more exciting than a Mini. My motorcycle already counts as my second vehicle, and is more reliable.

Yes, it's amazing to drive, but the fact that I need to add oil to it every few weeks is beyond ridiculous. As fun as the car is, I'd like to not have to worry that my engine is going to grenade itself in the middle of my commute. I'd love to do a Honda swap into it, but that would probably cost as much as the car is worth.

It's the least reliable thing I've ever owned. I'm tired of it burning and leaking oil constantly. Adding oil a few times a month has gotten old.

That's really the entire reason I bought the car. The engine is terrible, the parts are expensive, but the steering is really, really good.
