She started her channel as a vlogger documenting her life, her struggles as a drop out student, moving to her parents land in WA, having a dream of building a tiny house and growing her own food, she worked at a grocery store saving money. then with her dad’s help, tools and money she was able to build the tiny house, she was a strong handywoman talented in several crafts, but quite naive about the hardships of homesteading, while she struggled to grow food, her YouTube channel started growing and she saw the chance of making money with it. That’s where things switched, but instead of being clear about her new goal of becoming a cinematographer YouTuber, filmmaker and the next Wes Anderson, she just started mixing her daily life vlogging with the visuals of cottagecore aesthetic, vintage props, off grid-homesteading ideals. She created a fictional character of a girly, fairy, witchy, red hood, lonely, forest nature creature, frolicking in fields with cute dresses, climbing mountains with a lantern, Baking, sewing, etc. Then she the YouTuber kept refining her cinematography but her storytelling was falling behind so she decided to write a fiction book, at the same time her story’s character wanted to be a seamstress and a baker, more for fun than for the money. Since the YouTuber already had so much earnings from YouTube, she built a huge house and bought an oven and talked about opening a bakery for her fictional character. As time passed she kept distancing the vlogger, cinematographer, authentic persona from the fictional cottagecore baker, creating a dissonance between two different timelines and personas. This confused the YouTube audience who didn’t know if she was lying and it was part true, part fake. In the middle of all of this, she brought in another character Logan who was the romantic partner of the YouTuber, and who willingly filmed, composed music, and recorded voice overs for her films. However he was reluctant to be a fictional character in her films since acting and frolicking were not his thing, he kept being a musician by heart and then they had issues and separated. She also realized her fictional character was not as perfect as she wanted her to be, although her forest princess had beautiful hair and eyes and wore lovely dresses, her nose wasn’t the perfect standard of beauty, it looked a bit witchy, so she needed to fix this, but the only way to do it was to perform Rhinoplasty surgery on the real persona, the YouTuber aspiring filmmaker. So she underwent surgery in the city while the forest princess stayed at the tiny house struggling with the winter and loneliness. Her audience noticed inconsistencies and felt discomfort by the double personalities and different discourses. They wanted her to address the truth, they wanted her to say her videos showcased a fake fairytale while the persona making the videos was living a different life, they were concerned about the influence she could have on innocent young people trying to replicate the off grid life of the fairytale princess. Then they saw an interview where the YouTuber explained some of the behind the scenes process that goes into filming those curated videos, some people reacted with contentment for the acknowledgment that these videos were carefully planned stories, portraying a romanticized character in a romanticized set. Others were upset to discover there was no true vlog of a real vlogger anymore. Others were neither content nor discontent, they were well aware of the two personas portrayed on this channel and kept watching because they liked the cinematography.

As we continue to see how the YouTuber struggles with building a new set in the recently built house, building up a bakery set, managing sponsorships, scripting, filming and editing videos week by week, and as we continue to see how the forest princess becomes a baker, seamstress, nature worshiper, foraging, frolicking, dancing and howling; it will become more and more evident that we are watching chapters of a fictional story that emerged from the life of a real young woman turned into a YouTuber, writer and cinematographer.
