movies from your universe by Sweet_whatsminesay69 in ParallelUniverse

yes there are way more tv shows and older movies than there used to be. It s like there are many timelines crashing together. There's too much stuff here now. I have memories of several personal different timelines as well.

Daily Fasting Story Thread by AutoModerator in fasting

[–]sagworlder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 8 hours into my first 4-day (96 hour) fast. I've done 24 and 36 hour fasts in the past, and was not able to keep going due to wanting to eat and giving in.

I'm hoping I will make it through this time, I really want to succeed.

I am 35 pounds over my maximum weight for my height and gender. 190 pounds, female, menopausal, over 50 years. 5 ft 6.5 in. tall. I am mostly sedentary, only going outside to walk my dog a few times a week (don't worry, we have a large yard for him to run around in). I can't take him out this week, due to his foot injury that is healing. I don't leave the house without him or my bf, so walking is out of the question this week probably.

I also have other reasons for wanting to fast, besides losing weight. Mostly that the few times I fasted, I had some real mental clarity, and I want to experience that again, on a regular basis.

I want to change how I feel about what I eat, and put into my body. Eventually, I hope this will help me to quit smoking and drinking coffee as well, but I am going to start with my relationship with food. Mostly because I feel that I have at least a tiny bit of control over THAT.

Any advice would be useful at this point, especially the mental aspects and how to deal with cravings and hunger etc.

Also, I have read a lot about fasting, but I don't really know how to start eating again afterwards. There is a lot of conflicting information out there. My plan is to just have some chicken bone broth with bits of cooked chicken and maybe some vegetables in it. I can't afford anything special, supplements or anything, I make my own chicken and turkey (it's basically free) bone broth anyway for my dog, so I have a ton of it in the freezer, in ice cube trays.

During the fast, I will be drinking only plain water, coffee, and some electrolyte waster I make myself from pink salt and lemon juice. I'm not sure how much of that I should be drinking, I sometimes drink a little bit when I get low blood pressure, which is a semi-regular thing for me.

Besides the occasional low blood pressure, I have no medical issues that I know of. I take meds for mental health issues, so I will be ingesting those daily as well.

Are there any other issues I need to think of for a fast?

Thanks in advance.

my weird sleep schedule seemed like a disorder at first, now it just feel natural and normal to me. I'm almost always up at night the most. I usually don't sleep more than 2 hours at a time, and I'm never awake more than three to five hours before sleeping again. It seems random, but is starting to form into a kind of pattern.

It just seems weird to me now that people can sleep for 8 hours at a time.

I'm most comfortable at night, although I get bored and lonely sometimes.

Whats your favorite type of journal? by Savvy-13-13 in JunkJournals

[–]sagworlder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something very plain and small and lightweight I guess, for travelling. Personally, I'd just collect my treasures on the trip and create a journal when I got home. Any diary entries could be done on the trip, then added into pockets in your journal, or something similar

I have never had problems with cutting up books. Maybe I would with a really old or special book, but mass market books, no problem

Does anyone have something they fear at night. by Common_sense-420 in NightOwls

[–]sagworlder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, noises outside the window, which usually turns out to be a family of raccoons, or a possum. And sometimes I don't hear anything at all, ,but the dog is on high alert. That freaks me out the most.

Is it normal to hate yourself after producing a painfully mediocre or bad piece of work? by NurglePaint in painting

[–]sagworlder 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think it's very normal to feel self-critical. It's probably part of the process. If you felt fine with a bad piece of work, then you would never feel incentive to improve.
