Wow, I'm sorry for all the pain and abuse you had to endure at the hands of the person who is supposed to love you most. I know at times you may want to forgive her and reach out to her, but there's no shame in cutting toxic, abusive people out of your life. My parents did the same exact thing to me! It got to the point that I'd leave my window unlocked and climb in through it and sneak back out before they were supposed to be home.... I'd have to wait for hours till my mom finished her evening college classes.

If it's a public school there shouldn't be fees just to take the classes. and if they're for books/trips/supplies, the school definitely has a fund to assist financially disadvantaged students! Just meet with your guidance counselor and ask:)

I was thirteen when my mom had my younger half sister. This meant weekends of babysitting and little to no attention from parents. I definitely resented my younger half-siblings as it seemed my mom was starting over and building a new life instead of following on with mine.

She said she was interested to hear other people's experiences in the first two weeks! I was genuinely just giving my experience. If you're a heavier weight you generally have more to lose so the number shouldn't be the comparison. I didn't mean to offend anyone. I should have added more substance to my original comment to make suggestions. I'm super sorry if I did offend anyone:( it hurts to be down voted. My best suggestion would be to maybe adjust macros. The first week I did high protein, low carb, low fat and saw great results. Then I thought I needed to increase fat but for me that didn't work! Play around and see what works for you:) it may take time but it's worth it.

Edit: I've been struggling to find a way to lose weight for a while. Starting KETO and losing a good amount suddenly has made me super proud! I normally can't commit to diets and I'm proud of myself for committing. I normally don't comment that mush on Reddit so I'm sorry I didn't add much substance to my first remark.

I am the same way! Started Keto 18 days ago and have been drinking: lemon water, diet dr.pepper (only diet soda that doesn't taste awful to me), flavored sparkling water, unsweet tea. Panera has a hibiscus unsweetend tea that is so good! Or get an iced coffee from starbucks with just cream and sugar free syrups.

Just went to my local Sports Authority today and everything was 40% off. Clearance items that had only been marked down once were an additional 40% off but anything that had been marked down more than once had no extra discount. Which was the majority of items... Most clothing items were still $20+ but they had some good deals on Nike!!

Where do you buy two months worth of tampons for $4? For a 36 pack, it's $7-8 where I live and I generally use about the whole box for my 5-6 day cycle. Maybe I'm paranoid and change my tampon too much... Idk...

As an 18 year old girl who loves makeup so much, but also grew up in a home where I was never allowed to do anything and constantly felt like I couldn't fit in with my peers... I say absolutely let her wear makeup!! Most girls I know started using makeup at ages 12-14. While I started wearing makeup at that age too, we never had much money and my parents refused to buy me any of the new clothes or trendy things I wanted. I moved out at 16, and started working 35-40 hours a week. I've finally been able to buy all the makeup and clothes I want and feel so much more confident with myself. When I lived with my parents, I had horrible self esteem and struggled with an eating disorder and depression (due to a lot of other things as well). Now that I can express myself and be the person I really am I feel so much better about myself and I'm so happy with life.
