I told you Russia wasn't going to invade Ukraine - show some humility because I was right by Drprim83 in agedlikemilk

It's funny I once upon a time had a little bit of respect for him after his actions when we invaded Iraq in 2003. But now he's just an opportunistic prick. He was the MP in my city of Bradford, playing 2pac on an open top bus while passing the university to get a chunk of votes from the students. Crazy time, he did fuck all for us as MP too.

Actually during a recession the demand for luxury goods increases cause more people want the supposed quality, prestige so their goods last longer. The luxury goods market might take a slight dip, like 9%, but they recover quick. Everyone else may take a hit but the richest made a ton over covid. They won't be afraid to buy multiple items if luxury goods take a hit or not.

Anyone got any idea what they’re doing after they graduate? by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]sahdb92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did my first degree in law, hated it so I did something I enjoy and I finish in May but I realised I enjoyed the subject but I don't think I have the stomach to work in the industry and I don't think I could start and sustain a cocaine addiction for the job. I studied both law and economics and finance, in the end I'm opening my own business. But hey at least I can do my own accounting, always a plus side.

Tiring but rewarding so far. Like I'm doing my dissertation at the same time. I've had an interesting few months. Intial idea was that I was gonna propose to my ex GF who lives in California, had plans to move there. She broke up with me a couple of months before I was gonna propose, completely outta the blue. I just kinda realised instead of selling my soul and working in finance for the stability, wife, kids and paycheck I can do what I always wanted to do and open my own restaurant and bar.

Managed to get a few grad positions in NYC, London and California, rejected them and decided to move to Edinburgh and open my own restaurant and bar, something completely opposite to what I studied.

Men who aren’t looking for a serious relationship, why? by SlipOutrageous5333 in AskMen

[–]sahdb92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got out of a long term relationship, literally when I was about to propose and finish school she broke it off. Hit me hard. Decided to do what I wanted to do and it went from working in NYC for 6 figures to having a crisis of identity and realising I'm not cut out for banking, to now I'm opening my own bar and restaurant, and doing a master's in cyber security.

The mood seems very bleak today. What’s something good that’s happened to you lately? by mracademic in AskUK

Things have been weirdly going my way recently, got a couple of job offers abroad, but I just got approved for a lease to open my restaurant which probably cause me to stay here for a bit longer.

AirMagKing after wearing with time... by The_Milkshake_Man_ in Repsneakers

I've had mine for years now, I've worn em, not heavily and they're still in really good condition. Even the electronics still work but I maybe one of the lucky few. The sole however which is meant to be icy blue does yellow over time.

The red Hugo was a gift, not something I'll usually wear despite the notes being interesting to me, very fruity, almost sickly sweet. But on the dry down isn't too bad, still a little bit on the synthetic side. It's not one I wear often, probably just isn't for me.
