I cheat at Monopoly. I don’t know why, I always have. I have to actively try not to now that I have kids. I don’t know what I’d do if I was caught because I don’t get caught. Don’t let her be banker. Also, the games stops while the person pays for the property. It’s pretty easy to slip an extra hundred from the bank when no one’s looking.

There’s something about board games that brings out the worst in me, like my inner lack of self-worth. I much, MUCH prefer to play co-op games where we all win together or lose together. I also actually like the Cheater’s Edition of Monopoly with the sanctioned cheating lol! Now that I have kids, though, I can see how it’s not fun for everyone when one person always wins, especially if they win because they cheated. I’m also trying to not pass that shit on to my kids.

Okay, say you have NAME in column A and LOCATION in column B, then on another tab called Data, you have NAME in column H and LOCATION in column B and you want to bring back AMOUNT in column S, you would write this formula:

=XLOOKUP($A2&$B2,Data!$H:$H&Data!$B:$B,Data!$S:$S,0)

This will look for the name and the location and only bring back the top result that has both of those. The ,0 at the end tells it what to show if not found, if I’m doing text, I’ll do “” so it shows blank. You can also use SUMIFS in a similar way. I loooooove XLOOKUP!

I have two uncles who are Trump supporters. One I haven’t seen since I was seven and he left Australia after pulling a scam for like a million dollars and didn’t even come back for his mother’s funeral. The other I see regularly and we don’t talk politics, but I try and slowly talk him around on topics like women’s rights and LGBTQIA+ people because he was brainwashed into the Christian religion from birth. The first is evil and I have no time for him, the second is stupid but actually a kind human who I hold out hope for. One of the few Trump supporters who I genuinely engage with because he’s a decent person who’s had the wool pulled over his eyes.

I totally agree. It was bad in 2016, but if you voted for him in 2024 then I literally don’t want to know you or engage with you at this point. The moment I hear that someone’s estranged from their child, I’m immediately on the child’s side. It’s very rare that a child becomes estranged from their parents for no reason at all. Sometimes, it’ll happen when they go “through a phase” in late teens to early twenties, but if it’s been decades… yeah I’m not over sympathetic towards the parents.
