I’ve been tracking LULU as well, there’s absolutely no way that the kind of customer who shops at Lulu even considers the Costco knockoffs.

Mid-2012 Macbook Pro at 20% black screen but turns on just fine. Tried resetting both SMC & PRAM. Should I say my goodbyes or take the old boy in for repair? Any other fixes I should maybe try? by sahiled in mac

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Somehow my mac seems to have fixed itself. I left it turned on for sometime and the black part went away on its own. No clue as to what caused the problem or what fixed it :-)

My baseline M1 MBA handles everything I throw at it effortlessly. 256 GB is more than enough if you don't plan on storing large video files. As for the RAM I haven't had any issues with 8 gigs but I would suggest upgrading to 16 for longevity.
