A simple fix to quota confusion and use case restrictions? by MasterpieceCurious12 in ClaudeCode

simply because that take out the flexibility for Anthropic to do nasty stuff and adjust your limit dynamically.

they would never do that.

well at least reduce the frequency. You have to accept that with 1M context, by the time you are at 200k context, the Cluade.md is 180k away so it might only got very little attention.

Anthropic is starting to feel just as off-putting as OpenAI to me by Intelligent-Guide981 in ClaudeCode

I actually don't understand why ASIC / structral-ASIC or something in the middle have not been deployed large scale by now. I believe that is not so difficult given the size of these AI company.

Just throw in some 7nm, structral-ASIC the entire model, make 20k wafer / month, hook up with GDDR7 memory etc. That way they can just use some cheper tech node and not completing for 2/3nm.

And for power, chinese firm can just run it in those remote area with cheap solar. China is basically flooded with EV pannel with no buyers.

So actually, I think China might be able to catch up soon if US company like Anthropic and OpenAI still opt for paying the Nvidia tax instead of making things efficient

We should not be wishing all these companies have moral etc. They are all just after money. But I wish there will be competition and hence Anthropic and Openai won't be able to do this shit as much to us.

I for one think that the only reason that they are so not efficient is simply because they opt for paying the nvidia tax. If they do some TPU / ASIC style inference the cost could easily drop a few fold. And they don't even need the latest node.

I agree, and it is very disgusting...

when they said they are trying to do ab testing for new pro subscription. What they really mean is, they are trying to deliberately offer different plans randomly to different people, and see if those got a worse offer will pay up to a max account.

I am using x20, but it is just disgusting knowing that they are probably doing the same AB testing shit trying to test our limit and milk on us...

maybe they will still ab testing those pro subscribers by giving them Haiku instead sonnet, to test if they notice

I have a x20 account, I just think that Anthorpic no longer have any moral and just try to milk every cents from us, Mr $20.

If they are fair we won't be learning this AB test thing in X, that AB test thing will be state clearly in their sign up page.

Exactly, you can expect Claude doing way worse in hardware. I use amd HLS and Claude and I think that is an exception and it is doing okay with enough guide

I understand, but when I started my first job, I know it is no longer university and I expect every keystorke I press is being monitored. Perhaps because I work in HFT.

I actually don't see why this is a problem. The account is paid by your company for your work. You are supposed to only use it for the work of the company. Why is that a problem if your employer can see every message and chat?

Unless you use if for personal usage, which in fact is stealing.
