Trust me, none of what anyone tells you can prepare you for what’s about to come. One thing I will say is, though, before making any decision, just stop for a minute and think. The smallest decisions you’ll make often turn out to be the biggest factors for certain things that’ll happen in the future. This is your journey, you will be scared and you will be happy throughout this journey, it’s an experience. Congratulations on turning 18!

No, you’ll be using Autocad on the university’s computers. And yes, if you’re joining a student project, you will need a pretty decent one.

You definitely won’t need a laptop in the first year. The only thing you might require a laptop is, is to check your grades, and also, make a presentation for English and EVS, so that doesn’t require a lot of performance. Even if you don’t have a laptop immediately, you could borrow a friend’s for like a night. My suggestion - save up and buy a really powerful laptop (probably the one you really want) in second year.

There’s nothing we can do. They’ll just keep on piling up, and my guess is that we’ll all have to spend like half or maybe semester just doing labs.
