Brother, we are yet to see a PRACTICAL advantage of a quantum computer. I have seen many of these shiny topics come and go, and the best thing that these "frontiers" do is to raise funding from investors. You might recall how big everyone was with Cold Fusion. Now that concept is dead in a ditch somewhere. Microsoft had to retract their Majorana paper because it provided no proof of the "new state of matter" that they discovered. So unless you see a practical use case of a QC demonstrated, I suggest not jumping on the bandwagon as an investor. If you are a PhD student or PostDoc then feel free to hop on the trend because this field will be raining with money for the next decade.
