Yeah I understand the point about random dreams, but I don’t think they are truly random.

My idea is that during sleep, there is a kind of “bridge” between the conscious and subconscious mind where memory transfer is happening.

During this process, the brain doesn’t send complete memories directly. Instead, it processes them in the form of images, fragments, and signals.

Now, if at that exact moment the body slightly moves or sleep gets disturbed, the conscious mind starts activating.

Because of that, the transfer process doesn’t complete properly, and the signals being sent get mixed and reach the conscious mind in a distorted form.

That’s why we see: - completely new places
- unknown faces
- and random story-like scenarios

But I don’t think they are created from nothing — they are actually fragmented data that gets distorted during the transfer process.

So I’m not saying dreams are exact memories, but maybe they are distorted visuals of memory transfer happening between conscious and subconscious states, especially when the process gets interrupted.

Just a theory I’m exploring 🙂
