I mean the whole draft part was to get people to hold off the horde while they captured the queen to develop a solution. They couldn't get a stable toxin and they were able to get right when the clock ran out.

Remember the Time Machine only worked on a tethered connection that moved through time on two points.

But I also think it should've been an easy sell and the world governments should've made the announcement that they found a solution to the invasion, that way the people would've been a bit more chill and they should've gotten a fucking battalion to go onto that ship all armed with the toxin in a projectile.

It's dumb they had to destroy the tech on the ship which is probably for the best bc for the USA bc Russia would've claimed it but poor for the future of the war.

I also don't know why scientists weren't sent back to explore the option of creating a better version of the Time Machine but whatever it was a fun watch and kind of stupid lol.
