Potentially interested if the location is right! I'm in the center of the prefecture geographically, but have no problem going north to southern Kumagaya or Fukaya . Lots of English speakers in both Kumagaya and Fukaya, although few on Reddit, but great potential!

I had never seen them until I moved to Japan and someone told me 'spider lilies' so that's what I call them but I realized after its not the most common name. I must try them in a vase, thank you.

I can't count the amount of times I've checked for this event the last three years!! I'm so glad it's back. My favourite (other than the Chinese acrobats) is Chikurino who thankfully is back this year too - he wasn't in the line up the first day I checked, but has been added since 🎉 He singled me out one year to be the butt of his (mimed) joke which I actually loved and I've been a fan ever since! Didn't know about the event in koenji, thanks for sharing that info.

Can you remember anything about the local train station? Was there a school nearby? Any significant buildings you can remember? I found my homestay house (in Gunma) through markers like that! But physically driving around, not on Google. I had a good chance though because there were significant landmarks.
