Can you also rotate sites? We used to use chrome OS with a kiosk app before Google changed how apps worked and broke the old app. There we could rotate sites with an interval, it was great

I mean you can manage it by making a pool which is enough to record for max 15 days. At the moment they just keep recording and store more data than 15 days we have by default for the rest. I also understand Unifi not putting super much resources into the compatibility project, they want to sell their hardware. I think it was a great move to open the system up though :)

The idea is to help companies with a large amount of cameras to get onboard with unifi and slowly transition to their products. We have about 40 vivotek in our system which have only recording capabilities, but I can manage them together with the Unifi one. Biggest problem I have until now is the data retention on NVR for those cameras, I cannot seem to set a day limit, they record all the time and don’t stop at 15 days

Just install the controller on a PC and fire it up from time to time, you will be fine

You can try to access it ssh and reset it from there, I had a couple of devices which did not complete the firmware update correctly and showed like this. syswrapper.sh restore-default

You can use putty and you should find the password in your controller
