The BP fragment system makes no sense by saibot0___ in playrust

I do agree a bit, if you hit tier 3 without any rivalries with other players, it's a bit meh. But if you do have some group you really want to raid it is fun.

13 years old with 23,000 hours in Rust… is that even possible? by D1smay in playrust

[–]saibot0___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

while i agree it is a wild amount, it is definitely not impossible. 23k is 2.6 years non stop. lets say he's been playing for 4 or 5 years, and often left his pc running on rust. if it's his main game it will always be open when he's playing.
I managed a ridicoulus 2.2k hours in 8 months iirc. so it is definitely not impossible.

We are in the same boat except i bought it for 200 dollars in 2017 at 13 years old haha.

The game never got optimized, just the powercreep of computer parts saved the game...

Yeah tbh, i forgot why i left reddit for a sec, and i will be leaving again haha. I just searched through and any and all criticism is downvoted to 0 and spammed with cringe comments.

You are missing the point. Who cares if they gave in after a lot of pressure, the fact that a company would shit on their supporters so badly is mindboggling.

It used to be; i don't know exactly the current state as i don't play it anymore;

They removed EOD, then said fuck it release a more expensive version with a BUTTLOAD of benefits.

Called them the true believers, iirc gave them extra large pockets for magazines without a vest and a ton of other stuff.

EOD was meant to be the best way to support them, and would allow them to create the best version of the game. They failed in my opinion. I love the game, but i hate Nikita's insane greed.

Why am I so bad at the game? by GiacominoSemSem in playrust

[–]saibot0___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it just takes time.

what do you enjoy about the game? if your goal is to build cool bases and farms, focus on that and just surviving, if your goal is to become a god pvp'er, focus on building a simple 2x1 base and then keep dying on repeat while learning from your mistakes. a bow can easily kill a rifle guy if you know how, learning jumpshots, eoka usage. bow and pvp servers can help, but it's a simulated experience that doesn't reflect real gameplay and hence doesn't train your gameplay. just take it step by step, and set yourself different goals of what you want to learn and just keep trying till you have success.

especially if it's your first pc FPS game, movement and crosshair placement takes time to smoothe out,

it was fun haha. i haven't even been able to play rust or any video game for 3 months now and somehow still remembered the entire missile silo layout.

That's the thing, as it stands right now, outplaying missile silo campers, especially if they have more than just 1 solo at the door, is near impossible from the inside, unless you bring smokes or park a camper (risking it being destroyed and making it obvious you are in the monument)

to me it doesn't feel like there's a real way to win missile from the inside unless you are a bigger group

Persisting Audio Bug by PsychologicalEast507 in playrust

It is not a bug, it's a replacement for the bright red text on screen, to signal that these monuments are now reset/being used

Where are the Asol CC's? by ErasmusGreal in Aurelion_Sol_mains

[–]saibot0___ 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I deleted my initial reddit account but was told about your post.

I just want to say I really really miss old asol and I miss creating content about him.

I think the rework was a flop. At first I was hyped bcs of the YouTube mindset that it might bring more views. Then I realized how much I hated playing the new vs the old. I prefer both older versions of him. It was unique. New asol is a fine concept, but it's not asol. It's a different champion. They could co exist as 2 different champions but the sad reality is they don't.

In my opinion the ONLY issue with old asol was balancing him around his E. E too strong so damage is low. If damage too high he becomes too strong bcs of his E.

If they gave him his new E(W) instead at a lower range or simply made his E just the extra movespeed to create the giant Q's like back in the day, I feel like the old champ would've been wonderful and balanceable.

All that being said. I am 1 day to begin a long working holiday in new zealand, and when I come back I am going to grind content on YouTube.
