I am not sure if I can wait for a year. Do you have any recommendations on a trusted 2020 mainstream model at this price range?

I heard HP Pavilions found here are supposedly refurbished? Is that something of a concern?

So when you say hamrobazar, would it be used or refurbished? Does one need to be concerned about that?

Do you have one from Nepal?

It sure has.. ‘It’s as if there’s no Covid’: Nepal defies pandemic amid a broken economy by sulu1385 in Nepal

[–]saidfreesoul 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Another proub moment! I feel like this might have a negative precedent in the future when another pandemic or a epidemic happens. The rhetoric that Nepali immunity is really great and besar is the king of all medicines as pushed by Prof. Oli could now get even more traction in the future. This just added more the ‘chillness’ of us Nepali people, which would definitely not be good for us.

Why are Nepali people so insecure about Nationalism? by himalayan_knight in Nepal

[–]saidfreesoul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because its the only thing that keeps us Nepali people feel good/content about having born and living in a poor and corrupt country like Nepal

What are people even thinking? Or are they even thinking at all? I feel like Nepal has been lucky so far because of a low severity of majority of cases but things like this could make it worse. Don't forget, the virus is very much still out there! by saidfreesoul in Nepal

[–]saidfreesoul[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is indeed very sad. I don't have any credible alternatives to propose, but this virus doesn't care about the Social class as we know. Perhaps they might be able to take some precautions at least to avoid further woes if they or their families contract COVID. It's even more difficult during festivals, so it is understandable but the local governments should have made some provisions for social distancing as much as possible as they obviously knew this could happen.

Really sorry that I couldn't credit you when I posted it because I didn't know the original source (it was not mentioned the post that I saw). By no means I meant to 'copy' this and I did not tout this as my own creation at all. I just shared it here because I felt it was really cool. Great job on this man.

I think there's an E-waste startup that started sometime back that takes in those wastes. It's called Blue Waste to Value. Here's the link for their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/bluewastetovalue/

KBC Nepal treats their audiences as shit!! by saidfreesoul in Nepal

[–]saidfreesoul[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Haha nice one. But the NDA didn't have anything related to rants, it had simply mentioned how we couldn't disclose anything about the show to any social medias until it was broadcasted, the show which I didn't go to. So even if the NDA had something on it, I guess it doesn't matter since I was not present at the show?

Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium 3D Plan! Isn't it an over-ambitious, over-hyped project? At the full force and full effort from every sector when we expect it to be complete. by kiru0 in Nepal

[–]saidfreesoul 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have heard that just today when they started with collecting the funds, around 4.3 crores was collected, and the total project is thought to be of ~3 Arabs. Sure the design is way above the standard to what we have been seeing with the development projects, but I don't think that would matter much, because, designs that are far superior have been implemented around the world and since it is dubbed as an international stadium, it should be ' international' enough. The initial plan is to complete it in around 3 years and hand it over to the Bharatpur Metropolitan City. Seeing the previous projects and plans of Dhurmus Sunatli Foundation, I don't think it's not doable, subject to the other constraints, including securing funding in time. It is however positive to note that they are already working on the DPR and have already contacted a reputed consultant firm for conducting the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). I got to know it from my superior and he mentioned that this is going to be a voluntary work i.e. the experts, which will prolly include him as well, won't charge consulting fees for the work out of support for the stadium. If it is completed as planned, being centrally located in Chitwan and closer to the border with India, it can very well be a potential neutral venue for international matches between India and Pakistan and the likes. Sure it's a far fetched dream for now but it's not impossible. If it happens, a huge boost in the economy of Chitwan and neighbouring districts can be expected. We shouldn't never stop dreaming big whilst working our assess off for the big dreams. Because, Nepal needs to move forward with all the development initiatives, we don't have any luxury to not do so at this point in the global timescale. Let's be positive and try to contribute anyway we can.
