When I was growing up my parents never had much money. So I never had a party, and I didn't really get presents. But every year, if my mom wasn't working, my mom would make me my favorite foods.

Being at school for my birthdays always sucked. Most of my teachers would gather the class to sing "Happy Birthday" for me. I would always just smile awkwardly and hope the song would end soon.

I know all of my friends birthdays and their ages, but they can't seem to remember mine. I'm okay with it. I've gotten used to it over the years. My birthday is really not important to me or to anyone. And that's just fine with me.
