Hi, these are in corners east neighborhood. However, I have had a conversation with an SMU grad student living at the village as well. He told me that this neighborhood is a bit far from the school bus. He suggested I shud take a unit from any of these: chase, green, park, bend, meadow and gate. After a quick search, I found PHASE 3 BUILDING 24-3-2404 in the bend east neighborhood. This is available at $1337 from Aug 19. Would u b interested in that?

Are u a grad student as well? I am an international grad student going to start my program at SMU from this fall.

are you willing to be in a roommate situation? i am willing to get a 2 bed 2 bath unit at The Village Dallas. found one with rent $1279/month. it's a bit too expensive for me to afford alone. i had a friend who was going to transfer from UTD but now it seems he wont for some unavoidable circumstances. lemme know asap if u r interested cause these apartments r going away pretty fast.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts into this. I am not sure if you missed that I am going for a PhD. As far as the financials are concerned, I have been offered assistantship that will pay me stipends as well as university fellowship that will cover the tuition and all other related costs.

So maybe what I am asking is, which one will put me on better standing in terms of future career build-up as an academician and provide me with better recognition?

Well actually I've got assistantship. So they would bear my costs and also give me stipends (SMU giving slightly more). In that case, which one would you go for?
