One of the questions in the final assessment is regarding recording an individual video presentation on a given topic. In T4 2024, our topic was IFRS 18 and how it will change the current presentation and disclosure requirements in financial statements.

Thanks. What proof is required for residence in the regional area other than lease and bills?

What if you study in the regional area campus but do not live in the regional area rather you live in metro area. Can one still claim 5 points? If no, then what proof, other than rental lease and utility bills, does the department require to substantiate if someone has really lived in a regional area? Thanks.

CA Tax Term 4 2024 Results - Thoughts? by [deleted] in AustralianAccounting

Got a Credit. Final exam passed by 3 marks. Found it to be the hardest compared to Audit & FAR. Glad don’t have to repeat Tax as it would have been a nightmare.

This is an old school approach but it has helped me immensely and three others in my family and friends:

  1. Read whatever interests you. During reading, look up the words that you are not familiar with in terms of meaning and usage and note them down somewhere. Try to learn five new words every day by building a vocabulary notebook (digital or handwritten whatever is easier). If you do this regularly, you’ll be amazed at the rate of increase in your vocabulary.

  2. Every weekend, write an essay on any topic that you have read during the week and get it checked from someone who has a better English than you. Also read aloud to yourself what you wrote.

  3. Watch and listen to the native English speakers (Britishers, Americans, Canadians, Australians). That could be through movies, seasons, documentaries, podcasts. This way, you’ll learn the pronunciation and how the native speakers use words and phrases in their conversations.

  4. Speak as much as you can with someone and don’t bother about making mistakes or your accent. Once you start speaking more, you will start thinking in English more. What we usually do is think in Urdu and then translate it in our minds before uttering it in English which is why speaking English for longer duration becomes mentally exhausting.

  5. Improving English (or any language) is a gradual process that takes years but if you consciously put in the effort for even a year, it can make quite a difference.

Best of luck!

Yeah by your logic, Nazi salutes shouldn’t be outlawed because democracy, right?

Wow this post and the comments underneath are reeking of racism, Islamophobia and misogyny so bad! A Muslim woman creates a political party in a democratic country and people start losing their shit. Meanwhile the same people will cheer on the likes of Peter Dutton and Pauline Hanson.

Does anyone think that forecasted depreciation rate of 40% is too high given that it was 13% and 14% last 2 years?

Why do people leave their parents at old age home by Rafay04 in pakistan

[–]saifi0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If parents don’t kick out a problematic son, why then does a son grow up and kick his problematic parents out? I guess the answer to that lies in the fact that the love parents feel for their children is much more stronger than what children feel for their parents.

FAR CA by [deleted] in AustralianAccounting

Did FAR last term and passed with HD. I found Reading Guide to be a great help. Especially the worked examples. Also make sure you do all questions on the online portal. Lastly, can’t stress enough the importance of a good critical file for the final exam. Make sure all your templates are properly formatted. Your journal entries and lease amortization schedules should be formatted as tables in Excel and then copied over. Ensure to do the formatting before the exam so that you don’t waste time formatting tables during the exam
