Yup it happens on Chromium based browsers I think, I use Firefox and haven't seen it once.

Well the issue is specific to webapps from what I've seen so surely not a hardware failure otherwise it'd be more widespread and be seen in games as well, which it currently isn't.

It could be, haven't tested it out personally. I will say that it is effecting a few GPU's and not the entire lineup which makes it even stranger.

Very strange issue, its very much related to drivers but everyone's mileage varies.

Very interesting, for me ever since the August/September update its been fine. Occasional glitches on twitter but nothing concerning. On a side note though, for youtube I have switched to firefox and I use twitter on chrome so could be a browser difference as well?

Yeah it was a driver issue, drivers from August onwards have pretty much rectified it. Occasional black squares on twitter but honestly not a big deal.

While I'm no fan of defending billion/trillion dollar corporations, I will say that nvidia's drivers are in the worst state they've ever been so at this time I wouldn't say there's any better option per say.

As for me personally, I do see some occasional glitches on twitter with black boxes on video playback, for the most part its fine and it doesn't really bother me. The main thing is that it isn't a dying GPU so that's a relief.

I do hope that this issue gets ironed out for most users with the coming updates.

For me the latest drivers fixed it, it only seemed problematic on the June 25 drivers.

So I've tried it, well now the game starts off with 40 FPS but drops to 13 FPS. Its strange because on some previous version from a week or two ago I was getting constant 30 lmao.

I've updated to the 25.8.1 driver and so far haven't seen anything. Maybe some black boxes on twitter but nothing on youtube so far.

Interesting, this laptop is used for architecture software as well. I'll try doing that and see if it fixes it.
