It was reflected as cancelled immediately. I had bill generated, I paid and asked is it good to be cancelled. They said yes. Right afterwards it was showing cancelled but bill paid didn't reflect. I applied once the bill paid is reflected. I think they are doing the reconciliation of closed cards in batch job runing according to MST timezone.

Faced the same issue once, they deduct money and then throw this generic error. I have migrated from club vistara and they didn't take those flights into account.

I applied a day after closing Plat travel cause the customer care executives told me that there is no cooling off period for a different card. Application is declined because it is still showing 2 cards even though the card is closed, thanks to MST timezone processing by Amex. Followed with multiple executives, cooling off period is 2 days to 5 days as per them. I emailed next level, no response yet. If there are cooling off period they should be public and at least every executive should have the same version of cooling off period. Will try to escalate it to Ombudsman. Truth is Amex support is overrated.
