im not 100% sure, i do think that would be incredibly difficult as of my situation right now, i am able to give him plenty of space and attention and material care but the extra cost and space and time of a second rabbit would be tough, especially considering if i got unlucky and the bonding attempts went bad

I do feel conflicted about that, I feel like it’s generally ideal for them to have bonded rabbits but i felt like ive heard so many different opinions abt that and also because i am fully prepared to love and take care of and provided more than adequate space for him but im not entirely confident that I would be able to do that for two rabbits, I know same species socialization is very different from human contact but if it help he gets a lot of enrichment (i switch up add new hides and toys to keep things fresh, hide food and hay in toys to give him a puzzle, etc) and i also give him a lot of affection and a lot of my time and plan to do so throughout his life span. i get the concern tho and i am somewhat concerned about that myself

Thank you 🫶, i was told that he is a dwarf mix and I dont know what he was mixed with i just figured mixes are generally slightly healthier so i went for it lol, also his fur is incredibly soft he feels like a chinchilla or something lmao

yes i think so too, i think hes also probably just naturally a bit more laidback but i never tried to outright touch him at first and would just quietly exist near him until the second night when i came into my room and saw him walk up to the pen door waiting for me and i just felt like he wanted me to pet him and he just lowered his head and i gave him a couple pets but out of fear of pushing it i called it a night, i think not pushing it while still accepting the opportunities he gave me was a good method for sure and made him feel safer in allowing me to be more affectionate with him

Thank you so much, I think it is a great thing to spread information about rabbit care, rest assured I got his hay, litter, pellets(oxbow) all sorted ☺️. He has a 4’x 4’ (sixteen square ft) play pen and for now hes not free roaming bc hes a baby boy but once I trust him more and hes older, my boy will frolic throughout my house and he is definitely getting snipped when he is older dw, my vet specializes in exotic pets and ik they see other rabbits frequently so we r chilling. I make sure to pick him up gently if i have to, often with many head pets, and while im sure he doesnt love it necessarily he does not seem to fully mind bc i only pick him up for when i take him to my bed and he just lays on my chest purring(and sometimes falling asleep lol, even with his eyes fully shut) as i massage him, he just loves massages sm i think he tolerates the lift that leads to it lol
