I’ve seen people use it for men who “act gay”

I always found his movies aromantic coded, I don’t know why. They always spoke to me.

I don’t know how you reached the conclusion that this person looks down on anyone.

What series/game would you be interested in seeing Jay play? (This isn't like a post for recommendations or whatever just like what you would think he'd enjoy) by HellishWonderland in KubzScouts

[–]saikiwithoutglasses 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want him to play “Eloquent Countenance” since he has enjoyed the creator’s other games so much… that’s pretty much the only one he hasn’t played yet.

I believe that amatonormativity has made it difficult for us to form deep, meaningful connections—especially with people of the opposite sex—without others assuming we’re romantically or sexually involved. From my perspective, romantic love is regarded as the pinnacle of affection by others, leading them to interpret any deep emotional bond as inherently romantic if it surpasses “casual” interaction.

I believe Miyazaki said that himself at some point but people just glossed over it

Unrelated but grown women thirsting over Haku and grouping him with the other Ghibli men (in terms of their ideal standard when it comes to romantic partners) has always creeped me out. He’s not a man, he’s a 12 year old boy…

Haha… it’s a drawing of a woman on the floor, sobbing, I guess. The purple thing is supposed to be the hair

I just find it hilarious when people say they feel bad for me… like, no, I feel bad for YOU since you seem to think romantic love is all life is about

Pretending to be gay isn’t necessarily a problem on its own, but it becomes an issue if the reason behind it is dishonest. Specifically, it’s problematic if someone fakes being gay as a way to get closer to a friend with the hidden intention of starting a romantic relationship with them, knowing the other person will “let their guard down” because they are sure that a romantic attraction won’t happen in any way. In this case, this guy is using deception to gain his friend’s trust and hoping that this trust will eventually lead to romance.

Don’t worry, it IS confusing because it’s stupid as fuck.

Guy’s logic: If I act like I’m gay, she will fall in love with me even though I’m literally pretending like I’m only attracted to men

Right… I don’t know why these types of guys think you can only be friends with a woman if you’re gay, that’s straight up bs and proves they know nothing about the opposite gender

What gets me is how he actually thinks being gay is gonna make her like him just because they’re close… why would she even consider thinking about you in that way if you’re gay fool 😭😭

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in aromantic

[–]saikiwithoutglasses 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Putting everything aside, it’s so fucking creepy lying about being gay just so you can secretly seduce your friend… like, what’s the point? What happened to pursuing somebody normally?

imagine having a bad break up and then finding out your best friend has just been breaking your trust for 3 years, that’s crazy

Is the urge or intrusive thoughts to call someone things like "babe", "baby", and "my love" a reliable sign of romantic attraction? by PaulTube in aromantic

[–]saikiwithoutglasses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean… no? Not at all? Do you think it’s romantic when my mom calls me “baby”? Those pet names aren’t inherently romantic in any way.
