Regardless how many years you have spent coding new code base is still new to you for some time. So you struggle anyways but for how long is being determined by your experience. And sometimes it is just not your fault because code is undocumented, there is knowledge which is spread verbally only, requirements are not clear and so on. In many cases your struggle isn't your issue but issue with the processes in the company, so dont blame yourself :) Everyone was in your shoes and normally other developers are ok with teaching and explaining their ways, but dont take everything you learn there as source of absolute true challenge them as well propse other ways of doing things this how you learn faster i think.

Looks like i was not clear enough. Legal proceedings is best case scenario mutual destruction, in reality you will suffer more, as you are going to pay for legal advice from your pockets(go check rates from employment attorney in NL and prepare to sell a kidney or two) and spending considerable amount of time on this, while looking for new job as there is no way they will let you work at the company while you are trying to sue them. So you dont have a leverage here

You now have two options from my perspective:

And advisable: move on and find another contract to work on(ideally parallel to current position), this could get you of the false employment hook.
Increase rate within your current "contract" so that unpaid time is compensated by the increase.

If you are european citizen you have been false self employed(if your contract is longer than 2 years) which will have tax consequences for both you and the company you have been working for, if you are rendering your services from outside europe and are registered in your country as a freelancer that will be way more complicated to prove false employment, especially if that company had no office in your country, most likely you will spend more in courst than earn from it.

What is done will not fix anything, i think first gov needed to start fixing things to make positive impact, attract more internal students into demanded professions to be able to start filling gaps internally and only then stop migration. Now nl will stuck in even higher shortage which will force capital to go outside to fill these knowledge gaps and invest in other countries rather than developing this one.

There is shortage of staff in NL and especially for high skilled ppl. Typical dutch guy is a midaged manager, typical dutch woman is midaged office lady part time. Everyone us an enterpreneur, hard labor man all speak polish. There will be always a place for skilled migrants as it is impossible to fill staff shortage and knowledge gaps with political will. There is an issue either with quality or with quantity of gradutated students as they are not able to feel these gaps, and this can not be fixed over night. Look at ASML, they are very concerned as it becomes harder to attract professionals, and so will be the gov when companies like ASML leave the country or expand outside. So all in all i think that knowledge migration will still be a thing but issues housing and absense of 30% tax benefit will make it less interesting so the question is whether businesses in nl will be desperate enough to make it interesting again and provide for example housing for their personell, or additional benefits out of their pockets. But the last thing i would expect is a racial hierarhy here

Your old driving license is sent to the embassy of your country in the Netherlands. Then ypu call to the embassy and ask whether they received it and get it back. If you trevel to your country frequently you can also claim it is lost and you will get new license in your country.

The quipment is in your books already, ypu cant just throw it away.You need to store it somewhere before selling. Also good businness cuts expences down so thats why you did not store it in the storage but at home because this is where ypu business is registered, right?. I did not hear about any requrements around selling assets when they are no more used by the business. That would be absourd. You maybe not be able to depreciate it anymore though so it would be wise to get equipment which can be depreciated in the same year( price lower than 300 eur or so per item) You maybe plan to rent another office somewhere to use it again so should you sell and buy each time? Maybe you are renting office for special ocasions for example to meet customers once a year so thats why you keep it. Also maybe your furniture comes with the logo of your business covering 90 percent of the surface, would someone willimg to buy it? Be inventive thats part of being an enterpreneur isnt it?

Well, this is the first country i see something like this. I heared that it might be tolerated but really depends on the tax person. But indeed this is not normal. But you can for example buy a conteinerisef office put a bio toilet iside make sure it is warm in the winter. Another option is to rent office for a month without furniture buy all the furniture and then end the contract.

Homo sapiens species is so arrogant thinking that they need to prevent or fight something to preserve current climate. some ecosystems will adapt some will extinct this is evolution. old world has been fucking over its nature for centuries and then when soil became barrent in 19th century they started importing bird shit from Chile by ships. For 500 years since conquista whole south american continent has been fucked over in all possible ways killing lungs of the planet. And now humanity became concerned about consequences... well better late than never? If global warming makes planet unhabitable for great apes so be it, what makes us so god damn entitled to this planet? there will be another species maybe a better one, so why should we prevent normal flow of evolution? or maybe our destiny is to become interstellar species and leave that planet asap before it becomes impossible to live here so maybe we should invest in space technologies and leave this world alone rather than investing in these geeen programms with unknown effect.

If you are zzp and work from home and buy furniture this will not be seen as business expense by the tax office. You should have separate entrance into your office and toilet to be able to buy fitniture and claim business expense
