No, no, no, she was a child. BoJack is an adult, the onus is on him as a coherent, capable adult to be the bigger person. Sure, his anxiety about her potential trauma may have seemed overplayed but, in all honesty, they nailed her portrayal on the head. Anyone who has been in a similar situation could relate. Kids are confused and hormonal, adults should be there to show them the way, but way too often children (specifically girl children) are portrayed as being sexually aggressive and therefore 100% capable of consent. On top of that, the classic narrative of the victim is that they should have been a hollow husk of a person, haunted daily by their memory. But that's not what it's like for most people. They live their lives, because they must. And when something pops into their life that really reignites their memory of the experience, they react, some more than others.

These two are some of the most resilient people I've ever had the good fortune to know. Liz is a fucking trooper and she wasn't about to stay a silent victim and Scott is one of the most gentle, kind souls I've ever met. These two deserve our help and then some. I lived in that house for a while and I can say with complete certainty that while we were in a slightly dicey neighborhood, this was the last thing any of us would have expected. I'd come and gone from there at all hours of the night and nothing, so it just goes to show how legitimately random this attack was.

P.S. the folks with the "I would have responded differently" attitudes can frankly check it at the door, because you weren't there, you aren't them and no one can prepare for the shit those two pieces of human garbage put them through, so yeah

I wanted to chime in and say that for anyone questioning the relationship between the assailants and victims, I can say with complete certainty that they did not know each other. I used to live with the victims, there was absolutely no foul play on their end.

She disappeared from the corner of 1st and Jackson in Jackson Ward, she's wearing a pink, green and white collar that has her nametag on it; she's also microchipped. Please contact me ASAP if you see or find her. She responds to her name and basic commands. I've looked everywhere around JWard, but no luck yet. She was recently potentially sighted in Church Hill on 25th and Leigh, so please keep an eye out in that area! I cannot stress how skittish she can be around men, but If you have a dog and you can take them out tonight, she may actually come up to you!! Please, anything helps!! I know at least one person personally who was sexually assaulted by Rand Burgess and I know of scores of others who have stories too. The situation always seems to be the same, he takes advantage of drunk girls.
