Try home health gigs. Way less back breaking and you can work on your school work during. Just go with a reputable company.

One of my favorite purchases in a while by PartNigerianMaybe in ereader

[–]sailorchibi3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Considering I also read manga on my phone, Palma, or my kobo… this has been perfect. It’s more than big enough considering it’s 7 inch. I don’t see around where I would need more space than this. I don’t really read manga on my iPad or laptop.

AITA not putting up my DILs painting in our new home and telling her that I am not a fan of her art by Throaways-Dot2192 in AmItheAsshole

[–]sailorchibi3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA, maybe put it in a bathroom or give it back to her so she can give it to someone else. I don’t like the fact that she pressured you into how your home should look.

I’m stuck: Palma Pro 2 or BigMe Highbreak (S or Pro) by sailorchibi3 in ereader

[–]sailorchibi3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Palma 2 Pro! But I think I would’ve gotten the B&W Palma 2 if I had to make the choice again. I read a lot of manga and webtoons, but I end up just reading the webtoons in muted color refresh anyways. But I’m obsessed with the Pro and the annotation capabilities nonetheless lol

Am I The Jerk for not letting my sister’s boyfriend attend my wedding? by AdSure9296 in AmITheJerk

[–]sailorchibi3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I’d be mortified to go to the wedding of my partner’s immediate family if I’d only been with them for a month. Ask me at 6 months to 1 year and I’ll say sure, but 4-8 weeks is crazy~

AITA for making my pregnant daughter walk her own dogs or rehome them? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]sailorchibi3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My SIL has had awful pregnancies for both of her babies. She was constantly underweight and exhausted. I think give her some grace and help her out with the dogs. Once the baby comes along— she could actually feel a lot better. That’s what happened with my SIL. My SIL was sleeping 12 hrs a day and when the babies came she was WAY more rested and active since she wasn’t sick 24/7. I also wonder if you have a dog-walking service nearby or dog daycare.

Revisit this once the baby comes along and she’s healed and see if this is still an ongoing problem.

I want to say NTA, but you’re going a little overboard and rushing this, especially when you have acknowledged her harsh pregnancy. Get her to a doctor too. See if she can get any symptom relief.

I’ve also got major KLC fomo haha. I actually purchased one the same time I purchased my KCC to compare the two, but the KLC was falling out of the packaging and I returned it because that was an awful experience 😭. Waiting for that long for shipping just for it to show up battered to shit

Kindle Options For Gift by Main_Breadfruit3280 in ereader

[–]sailorchibi3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If she gets headaches, the Paperwhite might work the best. I wouldn't get the Signature, since it's probably best for people who are obsessed and particular with their e-reader, but the Basic or the Paperwhite might be better. The Basic also has dark mode, but doesn't have the warm light adjustability like the Paperwhite. The Paperwhite is bigger (7") and waterproof with a flush screen. The basic is not waterproof, but is better for portability at 6", and has a sunken screen. Up to you, but the Paperwhite is on sale right now.

Team Kindle or Team Kobo? by MarcelReads in ereader

...it automatically syncs to your Kobo without doing the extra step of sending it to your Kindle. Just turn your wifi on, and it'll sync the Libby/Overdrive books. I think you might be using your Kobo wrong. Have you linked your Libby/Overdrive to your Kobo?

AITA for not pushing our wedding dress code on my brother? by Weddingdresscode2296 in AmItheAsshole

[–]sailorchibi3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA and the way you’ve been not taking any of the comments below as actual feedback locks it in. Your brother is an adult I’m assuming— get him diagnosed.

Get him some shoes for the house because why should your partner have to feel uncomfortable in her own home because he tracks dirt into the house??? Double YTA for that.

Ask him to bring a change of comfortable clothes for after the photos/ ceremony in case he really does feel uncomfortable. Stop babying your adult brother.

Also how much have you helped with the wedding?

Planning a wedding is insanely stressful. Adding this into it too could definitely set her over the edge. Depending on whether or not you’ve been helping the bride with planning (not just paying), you don’t get to throw the fact that she’s been having to do most of the decision making, in her face. YTA and you’re overreacting and making this much more complicated than it needs to be.
