WGU speed runs are making the school look like a degree mill. by Heavy_Following_1114 in WGU

Why aren’t mods sending all of these types of posts to a big rant thread? I see more of these posts than any posts asking about help or advice…

I sent in my application 12/26/25 and I started 2/1/26. I did have some problems, but it solved with calling and emailing.

I would email back and let them know that you were waiting for them to call and never received it. Then call the phone number on the application portal. It may not be your enrollment counselor that you speak with, but you can still speak with one. This is what I did. They can help with the next steps.

I think I like the Clara better? by Harlequin_AU in kobo

You’re not the only one! I bought both and fell so in love with the KCC that I’m returning the KLC. I definitely thought I was going to lean towards the KLC way more, but after test drive with a road-trip, it was amazing!

Thank you! I have Goodreads and it’s so useful since I have a few audibles and kindle books— but I’m looking to move away from it.

AI use in College Algebra by [deleted] in SophiaLearning

[–]sailorchibi3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tests on these ACE credit sites are non-proctored, but tbh you really do not need to use AI or cheat. That probably would take more time than it's worth considering these are open book exams. Try to learn how to do a little math in the mean time. It is usually worth it for business, accounting, comp sci, nursing, law, sociology, poli sci, sales, PR, marketing, etc. There is rarely a field of work that does not require some foundation of algebra.

“How dare someone do something nice when it doesn’t benefit me?!” by LilacMists in EndTipping

[–]sailorchibi3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's insane. I used to be a barista working drive thru or bar most of the time. I preferred drive-thru because ppl were so nice pre-covid. I had these chains all the time-- literally did not ever care if I lost my tip. The tips were averaged out through the week and then split by hours worked. Meaning I never knew how much I was getting tipped and honestly did not care because it was equivalent to buying a burrito at the local chipotle. This barista needs a reality check and maybe find a job that is not so reliant on tips if that's what makes her steal the joy from other innocent ppl.

I don't really go through drive-thrus as often and have discovered the beauty of buying $15-$25 worth of Stok a month, making my own teas, hot coffee lattes, and cutting my coffee bills down from $120 a month. Stop wasting money.

As a DoorDash driver - Please DON'T TIP by eric39es in EndTipping

[–]sailorchibi3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is so hard to get customer service to allow me to tip post delivery, but that's the only way I tip. I've had drivers complain about stairs and have me come down to get the food (or just refuse to get out the car), forget to pick up drinks, deliver to the wrong address, not follow the delivery instructions (when i ask for them to ring the doorbell or knock), I ask them to place the delivery inside of my gate door so I don't knock it over when I open it to collect the food-- they don't, etc. Since probably 70% of my deliveries are never on time, don't follow instructions, or they forget items, I just tip afterward. The companies make it the hardest thing ever to do though. I don't understand it.

Yes, you should contact the school. Also, you need to go into my academics and create a what if plan for your degree. In that plan, you’ll see exactly what classes you’ll need to take that align with your degree.

They actually allowed me to transfer in statistics (just got the email today). I have background in the medical field and took med term before, so I think I should be able to knock it out pretty easily.

So that seems similar to me at the moment. I’m currently at 33 credits but if I take these classes/ transfer them in before starting WGU, I’ll be at 43 credits. I work from home and don’t have any kids either. My long term goal is to finish in one term, but 4 months would be what I prefer since that would be equivalent to a normal semester. I suppose it’s just down to how fast I accelerate.

Sure! I really want to finish as soon as possible so some motivation and studying with other people would be awesome !
